The Dark Knight The Man Who Laughs: The Joker Thread 2.0

Look at the stick being carried in the card, now look at wat hes carrying at the party lol

i get what your saying man. thats awesome good catch. he shows the card with the joker with the head on the blade and its very very very similar to the shrimp he is carrying. like the suttle play.

It's funny you should mention that, as I was going to comment how his hair looked greener than usual here.

Though you're right about the smile. I don't get where people are getting this "he doesn't look evil" thing from. That's one of the dirtiest, most menacing grins I've seen in a while. Scarily enough, it reminds me of the terrifying "Hello zat Dave?" guy from "The League of Gentlemen". :wow:
Perhaps in the hue itself, but it just bugs me that throughout the entire movie we only see him with maybe 55% green or less. I think the "messy" effect could have been accomplished by just having his hair be so greasy and long, and what would have looked cool is if it were all green, but in varying shades, as if he had colored it many times with different types of dye.

Unrelated to your post, really, but that and the party scene are two scenes where I think there is too little green in the Joker's hair. It looks basically brown, especially if you're seeing it from a distance.

I'm pretty sure its the same scene. If you notice, Rachel is wearing the same dress she was at the party.

Yeah, I know. I was just saying that in this area of the film, he seems to have less green than than I would like. It's especially evident in the Rachel-tossing scene, when, because it's darker, his hair looks almost all brown.

Damn you. I didn't even notice until you brought it up. Now it's so glaringly annoying. :(

Why would they give out rachel's death in the trailer?

I thought the same thing. The fact that they're playing up this Rachel damsel-in-destress thing in the trailers makes me think that she won't die. Why would they spoil what is supposed to be one of the most dramatic moments in the film in the trailer?

Same reason they blatantly showed a crucial scene for Harvey, and the unnecessary reveal of Two-Face.

Are you really getting mad that they're showing too much, or being sarcastic. It could be like Iron Man when you've already seen an abridged version of the film by the time your ass makes the theater seat warm.

Eckhart did say in one of his latest interviews that
his fiancee is killed in the movie, which leads me to believe that it is Rachel he is talking about.

Did he specifically say in the movie? Wasn't there, at one time or another, a death of Harvey's fiancee in the comics? Because Eckhart also mentioned, several times, Dent being scarred by acid, and that doesn't seem to be true.

Nope. The coat's still on.

Are you sure? Look at the new photo again. It looks like, by the rooftop scene, he's ditched the purple coat, but is still wearing the more bluish-toned jacket.

I'm not mad, but I wasn't joking either. Rachel dying isn't some surprising revelation, and it's not like it shows her with blood on the floor or anything.

The reveal of Two-Face and the possible scarring of Harvey shows much more, and leaves little for interpretation of context. If people are gonna ask "why show---", they should ask about that first and foremost.

hey I posted this in another thread but Im not sure where to post it so Ill paste it here too---

Im not sure if this was mentioned before but I just thought of it so I thought Id put it out there. As we all know Chicago Board of Trade building is used as Wayne Tower in the movies. Since I work in the building next door, and know the area pretty well, I noticed that the shot with Joker facing the street from the back with the bag in his right shoulder and the clown mask facing the camera is about a block away from the back entrance of Board of Trade (not the side shown in the joker/batpod faceoff from the trailer) . Also, the Post office they used as the bank Joker robs is about 3 blocks behind him from where hes standing with the mask in his hand. Im not sure what the map of Gotham looks like so this might just be a coincidence. I just thought Id point it out and see if you guys think there might be a significance?
