The Dark Knight The Man Who Laughs: The Joker Thread 2.0

Since Heath got most of his inspiration from Alex from A Clockwork Orange I would think he would listen to Beethoven and Sex Pistols...

Good call. I could see the Alex part in this Joker.

As for the Death metal stuff, I just don't see Joker in the mosh pit...

Kind of random but I wanted to hear what you guys thought.

Do you think Heath really did that "wheeze to laugh" transition? When they show the burning cards in trailer 2. Maybe it was cut together, someone else should try pulling that off :woot:

I don't know if this has been addressed before, so forgive me if it has.

What kind of music do you think Heath listened to in order to get into character? I would say death metal, but I think that might be a bit cliche...

Well, I think that to really get him psyched up he'd probably listen to the most innocent songs and try to find something warped and sick within them. Considering The Joker is a man who sees the worst in everything.
So, what kind of music?
Probably Val Doonican. That nice old man in the cardigan and the rocking chair. I think that making innocent music a lot less innocent would appeal greatly to The Joker.

The Joker would probably listen to stuff ironically, like the sweet sappy type of stuff. The hardcore **** would be too easy.

I could imagine him prancing around setting up explosives in a building while listening to this song.

"We Are The World" is another contender. So sickly sweet and giddy. He'd get a real kick out of it.

Maybe beautiful classical music to his carnage, much like Hannibal Lector?

The Joker is distinctly not a man that would listen to "hardcore" music of any type. Fans of those genres are small, timid people who find liberation in music that has a nihilistic and angry tone. It would be meaningless to The Joker; he's the "golden oldy" personified.

If Shirley Temple were to sing "Anarchy in the UK", that's the Joker in a nutshell.

Although I agree that Joker wouldn't be the type to listen to 'hardcore' music I have to disagree with the rest.

I wouldn't expect someone like you regwec to be ignorant like that and generalize a group of people.

Not every fan of Heavy Metal is a small timid *****. Music is about emotion and for a lot of people the fast and heavy stuff just gets you energized.

Personally, I've grown out of a lot of it. Especially when people start trying to claim "it's a way of life".:whatever:

Oh, he'd also listen to Linken Park and Marilyn Manson. Just to validate those YouTube videos that will be made once The Dark Knight is out. Always nice when you apply your musical tastes to a fictional character. Regardless of whether it fits or not.

what about "singing in the rain" ....kind of like a um clockwork orange....with a certain alex character....doing a certain graphic crime.

LINKIN PARK AND MARILYN MANSON:lmao:

Honestly, Joker wouldn't be a fan of emo type stuff. He'd wonder why you're so sad.

partyman, trust, electric chair....and of course;

The Bat-Dance.

Pure Awesomeness.

I'm neither timid, nor small.

Anyway. I picture Joker singing Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin in the Party Scene while dancing with Rachel.

Especially in that one leaked picture.

c'mon .... no one else thinks joker would listen to mike patton ? i could totally imagine joker causing mayhem while listening to some mr . bungle or fantomas .

as long as he doesnt listen to prince. personally, i think tdk joker just listens to the music in his head.

Prince is awesome.

Which reminds me.

I was in FYE the other day, looking for more posters. As soon as I walked in, Bat-Dance started playing. I smiled, and went about my poster business. I started listening, because I like the song. Suddenly, I hear Heath's "Why so serious?" line mixed in with the song. Like somebody had remixed it and put that line in there. I was shocked, and it was pretty cool.

Which gets me thinking. I'd like to hear Bat-Dance remixed with sound clips from Batman Begins and TDK.

Agreed. That was especially offensive to me, I'm very much into 'hardcore/metalcore' if thats what you want to call it but I'm also very much into classic rock (Pink Floyd FTW).

Really guys? Cause I"m huge into hardcore metal and I"m a complete coward! :whatever:

*end sarcasm here* :cwink:
