The Dark Knight The Man Who Laughs: The Joker Thread 2.0

Also wasn't it mentioned that when he says that that he's about to give the guy a Chelsea Grin? So it it doesn't seem random at all. He's about to cut him and mentions his own scarring.

well its not wether it sounds random or not
its the fact that hes throwing multiple stories in the air and that for the most part the viewer is supposed to interpret as made up. Unless hes dramatically serious in one scene and not at all in the other.

He's done this storytelling consistently throughout the comics and animated series. I don't know why it would bug anyone now.

When I first read that guy's review on Rottentomatoes and he mentioned that line it sounded kind of lame but I'm positive Ledger will make it sound good. The way we've seen him play the Joker so far...I have faith he will make the line work.

The father one.

"My daddy was a evil bastard. He would drink, and one night he took a knife to my face, and said - 'Why So Serious?', 'Why So Serious?', 'Let's put a smiiiiile on the face!".

hmm
that sounds
ooooo-kay I guess I dont like how he repeats
why so serious
but I guess it all has to do with how the delivery is
edit. nvm I know why he repeats it, it actually should work pretty well if he says it all in a regular or calmer voice and then when he repeats it, he says it the way we've seen in the trailers.

to stomp some people who are thinking that -that it IS the origin story if you havent read the quote you better do, it doesnt sound at all like he is truthfully telling what happend. At least not IMO it just seems like hes saying it to scare
Gamble

And if he tells multiple stories I think that furthermore tells you its not the truth.
regardless even if it is I dont think its so bad

Yeah, the reviewer said he does it another time or two with a different story or something. So, basically I can see a bit of influence they said they got from The Killing Joke..."Sometimes I remember it one way other times another...if I had to have a past I prefer multiple choice".

A joke I Made: hahaha
Bats fly at night
Joker tells jokes till you see the light:hoboj:
I love the new joker!!!!!!!!!!!! Best movie ever is about to hit movie history.

Heath's Joker portrayal is probably the best so far...

Maybe it was because you were diaagreeing upon what many people agree on. When you do this, you must back your self up and have your stuff together or else you'll be eaten alive.

I guess I'm not a typical fanboy who's easily impressed.

But, I am keeping an open mind about the performance. The look is another thing

i respect what your saying donk...
i do understand that its near crazy to say heaths joker is the best without even seeing the film yet...but from what most have seen and heard...it sounds like it will be...
i do understand though

Yeah, I like his look, but I agree with donk, its ridiculous for people to run around saying his performence will be the best if its not out yet.
