Yeah, I don't get the Spidey reveal, either. The only thing I can think of for this team is there a team that doesn't want to follow the main Avenger teams leads because maybe they still don't fully trust them, yet, and still want to remain separate. Maybe Spidey as a joint member is a way of keeping the two teams connected as a show of good faith on both sides.

I don't know, just throwing out ideas.

I think you can forgive someone but still not totally trust them. I don't know, I don't think it's completely and totally unfeasible for Cage to be weary of him after Civil War and all the stuff post-Civil War. If they did this, and Spidey was allowed to be part of both, it wouldn't be that there isn't completely distrust, just weariness.

Plus, Luke Cage never backs down. With a chain

Maybe the 2 teams will be connected, yet split up on different missions? As in 2 squads? Like, Cap, Thor, Iron Man and Spider Woman will battle Kang in space, while Spidey, Cage, Hawkeye and Wolverine will stay on planet and deal with the Hood? Like in Scooby Doo. "You guys go this way, and we'll go this way". That would be perfect for Bendis!! The first arc in New New and Avengers would be the same story, but told from 2 teams' different perspectives. I could totally see him trying to pull that off. That way, his 5 issue arc is stretched to 10 issues in 2 different books. Less work for Bendy, more $$ from us suckers, who are gonna buy both books anyway.

Marvel wins, fans lose. Which to Marvel = win/win

Isn't it? A lot of the classic Avengers players are back and Bendis at least seems to be implying that it'll be a return to the Avengers' roots.

The Avengers roots dont include 3 or more teams, some of which have the same exact members. In a Heroic age, why would their need to be a secret avengers? Slots mighty team were what the avengers were.

Confused about the restarting of New Avengers. I thought NA was over, that's why we were having the New Avengers Finale.

So...I would surmise the franchise would turn out to be...

Avengers- the trinity plus Wolvy/Spidey, basically New Avengers at the beginning but with Thor and now tackling world class problems like Kang; Bendis doing his Bay impression

Secret Avengers- centered around SHIELD leader Steve Rogers (get it? Steve Rogers? SHIELD?) ...... centered around SHIELD leader Steve Rogers and his board of SHIELD deputy leaders (for example one of the profiles looked like Beast and one looked like War Machine, Hank could be his Science Leader and War Machine his...war leader) with Nohvarr as his personal bodyguard. This could be like a cross between the Knauff's excellent Iron Man: Director of SHIELD run and Bru's vintage Cap run.

New Avengers- Cage, Spidey, Iron Fist, Daredevil and a bunch of New York superheroes. Grounded and streetlevel. Bendis doing his Bendis impression.

Avengers Academy- rumored but I'd see why they would think it would fit the franchise. Love Gage/McKone if that's the writer/art team.

Young Avengers- maxi-series cause Heinberg is busy.

How so? You have the New Avengers and now you have the Newer New Avengers.

I think the roster will make more sense when they drop all the secrets who is and isn't on the team. I think the first set was a "I am an avenger in general" and these next sets are "I am this kind of avenger". Basically they just doing the x-men for of the avengers.Astonishing, Uncanny, New Mutants, and Legacy...all the same damn team but with a different title(and don't you dare go all different roster on me).
