Since it's the war that causes certain events that help lead to Future's End we'll probably never ever see it since it will likely be prevented somehow by series end.

Are you sure? I thought all Future's End is doing is having Terry stopping Brother Eye from taking over in the Future and that's it. I thought the war was still going to happen.
