Nice, I guess based on the oxygen comment we know why the helmet is a full mask.

Guess that means Evangeline's face will be hidden behind a mask when she does become the WASP.:csad: As long as they make it very feminine looking.

When will we get a full trailer?

Wouldn't count on a new trailer before April or May at the earliest. With Avengers Age Of Ultron they've had more time to work on it so they can start promoting it earlier with new trailers.

Don't want a full mask for Wasp. They need to find a way around that so that she looks like she does in the comics or cartoon. Science be damned!

I'd guess March / April for a full trailer

All the more reason for a Pym Particle related accident that leaves her with an altered physiology & wicked cool biological powers.

If all superhero movies had to adhere strictly to verisimilitude, we wouldn't get a lot of things. I'd be fine about not having this issue of oxygen molecules posing a problem for shrunken people so that Wasp could go without a helmet and Ant-Man could even show his face sometimes.

Agree. The helmet lets him communicate with Ants.

Another vote for Bio-Wasp

I'm looking forward to this movie now. It's great to see the M.A.N.T.I.S. design again!

This is exactly what I thought when I saw the costume.

Wasp or Ant size wouldn't stop you from breathing in oxygen anyway, it's when you shrink down further that it becomes a problem and you have to delve into the microverse/dimensions scenario.

Part of me thinks that Wasp won't shrink at all and have her powers in normal size. I know the Yellowjacket suit can shrink - but Wasp's powers are basically an upgraded version of Ant-Man's. There'd be no point him being there if there's someone else who can shrink but can also fire blasts from their hands and fly

Wasp's ability to shrink is one of her key powers. Saying there's no point to her is like saying there's no point having two normal sized heroes with different powers. Wasp can shrink but she can also help Ant-Man in his adventures if he needs someone else to back him up at that microscopic level. Her ability to shrink gives her the element of surprise (just like Ant-Man) when she flies at people and blasts them with her stingers.

There's no two characters so similar in the current Avengers lineup - they all have their defining trait or power. Unless Ant-Man starts exclusively growing to Giant Man size - which would be pretty unuseful in more scenarios - he'll seem to be a downgrade from Wasp

If Ant-Man (Lang) joins the Avengers then I imagine they will give him the full scope of powers Pym usually has in his various super identities (shrinking, growing, insect communication).

Janet's biggest asset in my opinion was really her personality in my opinion. Janet could be outgoing and fun but also level headed and forthright. Janet along with Cap were the most stabilising influence on the Avengers and without those two you feel the group easily could of fell apart.

From what we have seen of Hope so far she seems a cunning, intelligent woman with scientific knowledge and fighting ability. Add superpowers to the mix and Hope could be one of the most capable women in the MCU so far.

Janet was also an heiress and another potential source of funding for the Avengers if Tony Stark weren't doing it. She also designed many of the teams' costumes as well as hundreds of her own. It's sad that this aspect of Janet has gone even from Hope. But she couldn't exactly be an heiress, unless the fortune she inherited came from her mother's side which came from her grandfather Vernon Van Dyne.

Black Panther and Thor could fund an Avengers team as well I image. Black Panther being the monarch of one of the most technology advances nations on Earth. Thor being the heir to the throne of Asgard and all the riches that come with being a royal.

Janet would of been the prime candidate if Tony didn't. Black Panther didn't join the Avengers until later on and Thor was on the outs with his dad who made him learn humility as mortal Donald Blake.

Hank Pym used to be well off in the Tales To Astonish comics having sold patents for his inventions to funded his experiments like other Marvel big brain Reed Richards. Pym ended up going broke in the Avengers after a series of failed experiments that dried up his fortune.

I don't think Hank was supposed to be a old money billionaire rich like Tony or Janet but I think he had a few million.

Lang spends time behind bars for stealing from a CEO of a corrupt company that was itself stealing from its employees.
It would be cool if the corrupt CEO is Edwin Cord or Cord Conglomerate.

Martin Donovan could be Edwin Cord.

Scott Lang could of first popped up Hank's radar after being caught robbing one of his rivals he suspected was shady.

You could make the argument that either Thor or Hulk are redundant because of the super strength, or that either Iron-Man or Thor are redundant because of the energy projection.
Ant-Man and Janet have different skill sets and each contribute in their own way... Well, Pym anyway.

Picked up the Entertainment Weekly Antman issue. LOVED it

What does BW bring to the table that Hawkeye doesn't?
What does WM bring that IM doesn'?
