It would be great if we see a flashback of younger Hank on a mission as Ant-Man and he come across a younger version of Harry Dean Stanton's character :)

I hope the sequel is called Ant-Man and Wasp and focuses on Scott and Hope as well as Hank and Janet.

Marvel has a full plate for the next 4 years. I can't see them adding much of anything during this time frame ("maybe" 1 movie at the most, but I think that's very, very doubtful).

I went and saw it a second time with my wife. I liked it as much as I did the first time and maybe a little more (and that's a lot). My wife LOVED it. She told me "When you said Ant-Man, I was kind of like ehhh.....ughhhh....okay." She laughed through the whole thing and thought Paul Rudd was great; along with everyone else. Lots of kids were there. I think getting people in the door is a bit of a problem for the movie (Ant-Man??? Really??), but once people see it, they tend to really like it.

A very, very good job by Marvel.

Yeah, I think this movie will definitely pick up steam in the box office from word of mouth.

The name was always going to make people apprehensive about it because being named after an insect like an ant just isn't cool and it didn't have the name recognition of other heroes. I think Marvel knew this and didn't place too heavy of burden on it.

I would settle for a Hank & Janet mini series on ABC or Netflix. I think they could probably do the Ant-Man effects on a TV budget.

I can't believe how many real moments this film had. The scene in the car with Scott and Janet where he explains that he's expandable and the Hank and Jane flashback scene were just ugh

This was pretty darn good! I had to drag my brother and mom to see it but they walked out highly entertained by the film. My mom even said 'I always wanted to see it, just to see, but I had no idea I would love it so much'! Like many have said just getting people in the door is the hard part but once you do people seem to love it.

Just got back from seeing it and I really enjoyed it. It felt different from all the other Marvel movies but also helped expand it so much. I NEED a sequel. I loved how much history was in the movie.

Agreed! It was very different, I don't understand why people are saying it's the same old, same old.

Oh yeah, before it slips my mind, guerrilla journalism chick aka Anna Akana is hot as ****.

I think he meant swarm people with ants.

and yes he swarmed people with ants

I watched a 2nd time today I have to say the way they made Michael look 25 years younger was pretty good, he looked like he stepped off the set of Wall Street :awesome:.

This movie is so great, I'm thinking about going back to see it again. There's really nothing coming up that I'm interested to spend my money on in the next few weeks anyway (no, not even Mission: Impossible, and certainly not Pixels).

I'll be watching soupthpaw before anything else. But antman was refreshing and fun.

God, I loved this movie so much. I really hope the WOM spreads because this movie deserves a ton of money...especially more than crappy Thor: The Dark World.

I really hope it gets a sequel, I need more solo adventure of Scott, Hope & Hank! MODOK or Eric O'Grady would be cool villains for sequels.

Michael Douglas thinks he looks more like Romancing the Stone.

Antman was one of those "why I go to movies, movies. Action, adventure, fun, laugh more than you cringe, the right level of somber moments and just the right amount of cheese (necessary for all great movies.) I rate this right up there with Avengers and
Guardian of the galaxy for just plain fun watchability.
Thanks Marvel. Now go make more.

This...

Other than Cap (as history is his schtick), the only real history we have had in the MCU is the movie of Tony's dad in IM2.
Seeing younger Hank out of costume interacting with late 1980's SHEILD and even better in action with Wasp was thrilling.
