Batman Returns The Official Batman Returns Thread - Part 4

I am not a big Tim Burton fan or a big Batman fan, yet I like BR a lot and feel it is the best movie of the original franchise.

Work that one out!

Yea the old Batman films had beautiful women in their prime. Basinger, Pfieffer and Kidman... they were the hottest women around for sure. And they oozed sex appeal. A rarity in cbms when you think about it. Most romances are so sterile and have no sensuality.

Yep.even the terrable B & R had uma thurman and alicia silverstone to look at.both were sexy in that film.

Michelle Pfeiffer oozed sex appeal In Batman returns.BR didn't shy away from the dominatrix overtunes of catwoman. The Pfieffer catwoman is probally to this day the sexiest dominatrix to ever appear onscreen:ilv:

Apart from films where she went nude Batman forever was sexiest i ever saw Nicole Kidman

Personally, this did absolutely nothing for me:

Uma was still very pretty in Batman & Robin... but yeah, everything about that outfit/make-up is way too drag.

If you like it, you're a fan of Tim Burton. If you don't, you're actually a fan of Batman.

I do like Batman even though I don't like all of his villains, I don't mind there being some fantasy rather than only realism and I don't think having the hero occasionally fail is disrespectful.

Oh come on. Awnings wouldn't save you falling through that many at that height. Even hitting one of them would surely break bones.

It boils down to this ... Batman Returns is a divider.

If you like it, you're a fan of Tim Burton. If you don't, you're actually a fan of Batman.

What a dumbass post.

Michelle is actully the sexiest woman ever in batman films.with poison ivy yes at times she does come off as drag queen but there are times i find her very appealing in film.

Same. She was supposed to be undeniably alluring but she comes off the total opposite of Michelle's Catwoman, who pulled it off in spades.

It took me 21 years to realize that Chip Shreck is a great character

Could you imagine playing Christopher Walken's son and having to impersonate his voice? That's hilarious

Yeah, it's just too bad the guy that portrays him is a total ass-hat.

:funny: I'd kill for an opportunity like that.

http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment...returns-sells-auction-41250/story?id=45087737

The iconic Batsuit that Michael Keaton wore in Director Tim Burton's "Batman Returns" has sold at auction for $41,250.

The original cowl, cape and body of the suit were all worn in the film, according to the website of Los Angeles-based Nate D. Sanders Auctions. Some parts, like the gloves, belt, insignia and shoes are replicas.

The 6-foot-5-inch suit comes displayed on a mannequin of Keaton's likeness, the website says, the perfect memorabilia for a true super hero buff. The auction concluded Thursday.

"Batman Returns," also starring Danny DeVito, Michelle Pfeiffer and Christopher Walken, was the second installation of Burton's franchise, following 1989's "Batman."

Although $41,250 isn't exactly pocket change, it is a bargain when compared to the Batsuit that Christian Bale wore for "The Dark Knight," which sold at auction for $250,000 late last year, according to Bloomberg.

I presume that 6' 5" includes boots and ears.

Batman Returns is my all-time favourite comic book film. Absolutely love it.

Shropshire happens to be one of my favourite counties. Like Wales, but...not.

Batman Returns is my all-time favourite comic book film. Absolutely love it.

I saw Batman '89 and Batman Returns in cinemas when they first came out and I've always preferred Returns. The only Batman (in fact any CB) movie I'd put above it is The Dark Knight. My top 5 Batman movies are

1. The Dark Knight
2. Batman Returns
3. Batman '89
4. The Dark Knight Rises
5. Batman Begins

I really loved how retro/timeless it felt and also how it felt pretty weird, but really worked, to see Batman without Robin the first time I saw it (at 9).

I imagine the suit is in severe disrepair, too. If you've ever seen the props for the Burton era films, they are basically rotting away. It breaks my heart to see, but I imagine it's just the nature of the material.

I wonder if the TDK/R suits will hold up any better.

What matters is how they look on the screen, but yeah I wish they would try to maintain them more.
