I loved Birds of a Feather, I felt so bad for the Penguin. Joker's Favor was great! I loved The Demon's Quest and Two-Face Part I & II. Almost Got 'Im was my favorite though.

Almost Got 'Im is such a clever little episode. I love the idea surrounding it, and it has the best joke in the show, given by Killer Crock. But overall, I just love Feats of Clay. It's got a great story, which is accompanied by some of the best animation the show has seen.

See No Evil is a particular favourite of mine.

''Peek-A-Boo''

Joker's Favor, The Laughing Fish, Almost Got 'Im, and Heart of Ice are all fantastic. My other favorites are House & Garden, Baby-Doll, The Terrible Trio, and I am The Night. This list is obviously elastic in my mind since the quality of all these episodes are so damn good.

Almost Got 'Im might be the best. I also love The Man Who Killed Batman, Joker's Favor, The Demon's Quest, and Two Face.

For TNBA, I like Old Wounds, Mad Love, Legends of the Dark Knight, and Holiday Knights.

What's so great about Almost Got 'Im?
Having multiple villians play poker and share their grievances of failing to kill Batman, Batman secretly being in disguise as Killer Croc and all of it done expertly in about 20 minutes. It's a tight, lean episode filled with great character moments.

Eh. I guess the interactions between the Bat-villains were fun and interesting. And the final minutes, with Batman's hilarious way of saving the day, and the ending with Batman and Catwoman alone, were great too. But the Bat-villains' stories didn't do anything for me. And through the whole episode, Croc felt really flanderized and out of character compared with his previous appearance. He was turned into a joke. And there were a few moments unrelated to that that made me cringe as well.

I understand that opinion but I think I can easily say this is my top 10...

The Man Who Killed Batman
The Cape & Cowl Conspiracy
Be A Clown
Two-Face: Part I
A Bullet For Bullock
Heart Of Ice
See No Evil
Read My Lips
Mudslide
The Mechanic

Honorable mentions...

Trial
Nothing To Fear
The Clock King
Mad As A Hatter
Perchance To Dream

It's amazing, for how well this show did with reinventing and re-establishing well known villains... some of my favorite episodes consisted of new/unknown villains-gangsters and side characters that this show created. Shows the depth and skills these animators, writers, and actors had. Let alone while also making the best Batman film to date in MOTP, another great film with ROTJ, solid addition with Sub-Zero, and making up a great sequel-addition to the Animated Series and mythos with Batman Beyond.

Off the top of my head:
Almost Got 'Im
Heart of Ice
Robin's Reckoning, p1
Dreams in Darkness
The Laughing Fish

If I had to split BTAS and TNBA...

1. Beware the Gray Ghost
2. Almost Got 'Im
3. The Demon's Quest
4. Heart of Ice
5. Robin's Reckoning

1. Over the Edge
2. Legends of the Dark Knight
3. Judgment Day
4. Holiday Knights
5. Mad Love

There's so many episodes I'd love to put into my top 5 though.

I don't know if I can limit to top 5.

And it might be an unpopular opinion, but I really enjoy "The Last Laugh".

I loved Birds of a Feather, I felt so bad for the Penguin.

A great underrated episode that one. I really felt sorry for poor Pengy being used as a social joke like that. That scene where he shows Bruce the little gold Penguin broach he was going to give Veronica was really touching.

And through the whole episode, Croc felt really flanderized and out of character compared with his previous appearance. He was turned into a joke. And there were a few moments unrelated to that that made me cringe as well.

Well that was because it wasn't really Croc, it was Batman pretending to be him.

^ Ditto. The hall of mirrors scene where she sees herself if she'd grown up as a normal looking woman. Scenes like that are one of the things that elevate the show into something above and beyond any other superhero cartoon.

That scene is the main reason it became one of my favorite episodes.

Great lists! I'm just about to start season 2 of my rewatch of this series and I'll have my top 5 once I'm completely done with the show. I could make one just from memory but it wouldn't be accurate so I'll wait. Maybe I'll do some quick reviews of every episode as I'm going along.

That’s a tough question for me. I don’t think I can come up with a top 5. There's just too many great episodes to choose from, imho.

I don't know if I can limit to top 5.

And it might be an unpopular opinion, but I really enjoy "The Last Laugh".

I can understand the difficulty in trying to choose. There's already so many good ones in season 1 alone.

In no particular order:

"It's Never Too Late"
"Baby-Doll"
"Heart of Ice"
"The Laughing Fish"
"I Am the Night"

Another reason why I love this show so much is how much attention it gave to the villains and even gave them episodes where they were the main character. At least in my opinion, this was one of the first animated shows to really showcase its villains to this extent.
