Roc Nation is poor at promoting fights, I will admit that. Him fighting on BET was a bad idea. However, it goes without question that this is a PPV fight. I already have that date marked on my calender! I don't think it will do Cotto/Canelo numbers but I can see it doing 200,000 or so.

I know I said it's not PPV worthy, but not because of the fighters, but because of the promotion on both sides. I think they'd get more viewers on HBO.

This fight is between two of the top P4P fighters in the world. A far better match-up than May/Pac, because Ward and Kovalev are still in their primes.

This fight, with the right promotion should atleast deserves to be getting, or passing Cotto/Canelo numbers.

Since De la Hoya vs Trinidad, I can't remember the last time two prime P4P fighters fought.

I think that's the sad thing about boxing right now. That it's been that long since two P4P fighters fought in their prime.

I hate that it always happens when one or both fighters are at least slightly past their peak. Losing a mega-battle like this is nowhere near as damaging to a boxer's record (to me) than not taking up the option. (ok maybe if they get totally dominated that would be different but just a standard loss would be more respectable to me than avoiding)

Marcos Maidana officially retired yesterday. I love it when good fighters go out on their own terms.

Oh, and the WBC-mandated thirty-day weigh-in for Golovkin vs. Brook has been reported:

Middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin is 165 lbs.

Welterweight champion Kell Brook is 176 lbs.

It's something to mull over if you're part of the mob that has long been clamoring for GGG to move up in weight to prove his mettle; or, if you're in the camp that has condemned this fight as a gross physical mismatch.

I'm part of that mob. :o Kell Brook is officially going up two weight classes. First time in his career and he's going up against the best Middleweight in the business right now, no tune up. It isn't a fair fight and GGG deserves all the criticism he gets, especially after he went all in against Canelo but yet is doing the exact same thing.

Anyone watching Errol Spence fight?

Saw it. Fight was a lot closer than what the judges gave it but Spence pulled it off. Bundu hit Spence a lot but still think Spence is the truth!

I've only seen him fight a few times. I like what I have seen, and like him calling out Brook.

I like what I see as well but he gets hit a lot though. I don't think the Brook fight will happen because he is going to stay around 154 but who knows.

Pro boxers have been taking a break for the last 3 weeks it seems since the Olympics started.

I think Spence has the highest ceiling of anyone in the division.

I don't know about actual statistics, but to me, he's also the most successful fighter PBC has marketed. I remember being disappointed when Spence went the distance with Ronald Cruz and I didn't really watch him again until he fought Lo Greco. I haven't missed a fight of his since.

I feel like he is the first well known fighter to basically grow up on PBC.

Is true...Spence and Terence Crawford at 140 (possibly 147 too).

So Golovkin V Brook this weekend and Roman Gonzalez back in action guy's.

I actually think the Brook/GGG fight will be competitive while it last.....but with that being said I don't think it goes past 8 rounds.

His opponent is the real deal and deserves some recognition. Carlos Cuadras. Don't be surprised if their fight steals the show.

I did not know about the Roman Gonzalez fight. Thanks guys.

Chocolatito is in a dangerous fight. If he dominates, it'll be very impressive. I don't know the really light weights all that well, but I feel like this is the biggest challenge at 115. I know everyone wants the Inoue fight, but he still seems too green to me.

Ring walks for GGG Brook now.

Brook took a long time, probably on purpose.

He needs to enjoy as much time out there as possible before the fight starts!

Brook looks upset.

Got a few shots in near the end at least. GGG's power is too much.

I'm surprised! Brook comes back with some good combos. Definitely wins the 2nd round.

All over in the 5th. Brook's corner threw in the towel. Those first 4 rounds were awesome, GGG was going to win but great effort from Brook.
