Roc Nation is poor at promoting fights, I will admit that. Him fighting on BET was a bad idea. However, it goes without question that this is a PPV fight. I already have that date marked on my calender! I don't think it will do Cotto/Canelo numbers but I can see it doing 200,000 or so.
I know I said it's not PPV worthy, but not because of the fighters, but because of the promotion on both sides. I think they'd get more viewers on HBO.
This fight is between two of the top P4P fighters in the world. A far better match-up than May/Pac, because Ward and Kovalev are still in their primes.
This fight, with the right promotion
Since De la Hoya vs Trinidad, I can't remember the last time two prime P4P fighters fought.
Kell Brook is officially going up two weight classes. First time in his career and he's going up against the best Middleweight in the business right now, no tune up. It isn't a fair fight and GGG deserves all the criticism he gets, especially after he went all in against Canelo but yet is doing the exact same thing.
