I am curious. Ward has had 4 fights since 2012, all cans, but he get the benefit of the doubt, when he can't even get these guys out of there. Brook is probably a proper 154 guy, and he is very skilled. GGG got him out of there, and in less then half a fight. But people who want to put Ward #1 at P4P ignore who he fights and how he beats them.
Well because he's beaten better competition before his layoff, and he's about to challenge Kovalev on top of that, not to mention he's been on people's radar since the Olympics.
And just for myself, I've seen far too many punchers who rise to fame and as soon as they get in with someone they can't knockout or easily touch, they flame out. I'm simply being cautious before proclaiming GGG as someone great, until I see him against a great opponent. Regardless of how you feel about Ward, after the Kovalev fight, we'll all know for sure what he's made of. And we'll still know none of that about GGG...
