Not sure why.
I think thats rather obvious. Two games for the price of one.

Wasn't Wind Waker like $60? And that was a 10 year old Gamecube game.

I dont know but Tronne says $50. Either way, Nintendo tends to do crazy things with their pricing anyway

eta:
Since they are adding alot of new content to the game, I wish they would add an epilogue chapter to finally explain Nero's origins away. I hated how he was this big mystery the entire game and they never got around to explaining that to us

Nintendo really did start this kind of ****, I think. Wind Waker HD sold for $50, and it sold really well on such a low install base, and I think that's when other companies saw that remasters could be big without packaging. I mean, in fairness, Nintendo did actually add and rework some stuff in WW, so it wasn't as lazy as the typical HD re-release at that point, but still, that should've been no more than $30. I mean, $40 isn't horrible for a single re-release as long as it has a decent amount of new work done, I guess.

OOOh man, Ya 'll won't be happy with this.

If it comes with English text and voice overs, I guess I will import.

300,000 red orbs? Unfair. :(

With that I could probably beat Dante Must Die Mode and finally get those damn super costumes.

Gameplay-wise, I'd just it up there, but there's other issues that bring it down too much for me, particularly how insanely recycled the game is.

Eh, in terms of gameplay it is a few steps behind DMC3. As an overall game, it is way behind DMC and DMC3. That being said, I am still a big fan. Though I wish Dante wasn't so neutered in terms of his move set.

I beat it twice and I remember how tired I was of the game when I was halfway through the second time. Probably due to all of the backtracking.
DMC3, on the other hand, I finished every mode and did everything there was in it. Lost count how many times I played it.

I recall the producer of DMC4 saying the game was only 40% complete when it was released. A lot more was planned but Capcom wanted the game out ASAP.

40%. That sounds like a gross exageration. Aside from not clearing up the Nero mystery, the game was lengthy, polished and felt complete

Yeah, that's insane.

Anyway I never got too into DMC3. Maybe it was Dante's ugly face.

How polished and lengthy is a game where you basically double the length through playing pretty much the same game twice, granted with two different characters?

Well, not in terms of the game's build, but rather the things they were planning to put into it. IIRC, Dante was to have his own levels with different bosses, more devil arms, and Nero was to have a more complete Devil Trigger. They were just planning to have a lot more extras, but they never got to it.

And this all makes perfect sense.

lol I just realized it the same detail which mean I'm freaking tired . Any way it should be fun. if they ever re start/ continue to do more this universe I hope they make co-op a feature some how just like how dark siders was planning to do for it's final installments

I couldn't be more stoked for DMC4 special edition!!!! bummer they aren't adding more meat level wise to this game to make it feel more complete...but I'm happy enough for just the addition of Vergil and a bit more expanded story. Adding Trish and Lady as playable is pretty freaking awesome as well.

Zenith16: A co-op DMC game would literally be a dream come true to me...that's pretty much the game I've always wanted...no idea why no one has come out with a game like that yet.

Bayonetta 2 had an online co-op mode. I mean, it's fun, but it's not as great as you're probably envisioning honestly.

well I wasn't thinking they'd do it i that style but I know alot of people that thought that feature was cool with Bayo 2 . but when I say co-op I'm kinda thinking of something else a little more drop in & out double dragon or arcade TMNT style which would fit this game. which like hunt which was foreshadowing of what a co-op Dark siders would look like & showed before cryteck USA Screwed over their Employees the other half vigil that worked there , had to recreate new studio for them selves as Gunfire .

Well, Bayo 2 was essentially that without the drop-in, drop-out part. I mean, there was the competitive aspect to it, but it was essentially the same idea of playing these games co-op. I mean, it was fun, but I don't think it's nearly as fun as one would expect.

well I wasn't thinking about the competitive aspect. Not that wouldn't be fun. I just don't see it as necessary in this case with that kinda of a game. well unless it's another optional select mode . Aida like what border lands has but different & better. you have your single player core but you have the option to call in a friend or a few to help you out. & your in control of who plays with you if you choose the option for a buddy to come play with you..

It'll be kinda like what Blood Borne has where you call in your buddy that has the same game to help you take down a tough Boss or run with through out the game, if they have the time to play that long which is optional as well. It'll be that kinda of drop in drop out co-op .

It's just just your buddies helping you out which most people like way better. I noticed there alot of people that do't care much for competing with the exception of rare cases . but when your workingto ether to take down aboss it's just different

Yes, I understand what you're saying. I don't think you're understanding that I am saying Bayo 2 is exactly what you're describing from a gameplay prospective. It's not integrated into the main campaign, no, but that's how what you're describing would play since Bayo 2's co-op is essentially two people playing a level of the game.
