Ang Lee's Hulk- " Hulk like to smash puny humans, but Hulk not know why. Is Hulk smashing puny humans, or is Hulk really smashing Hulk? { cut to close up of tree bark and moss}"

Hahahahahahaha man this is the funniest thing I've read all day! :lmao:

^Same here, Hulk was much more faithful than TIH was, and had more from the comics as well, so Ang totally got the character in my eyes, and I loved the fact that he delved into him more than a normal blockbuster on a comic book character would.

Agreed, lol.

Ha ha, I actually got giddy when I read it!

Well as we can see in his fight with the Destroyer movie Thor is a bit more tactical than his comic book counterpart (who would rather slug it out).

So I'm think he's going to use the other abilities at his disposal and Loki hardly even uses his strength anyways, I'm sure he's going to be teleporting and firing energy attacks like no tomorrow.

With that being said Hulk being the physically "strongest Avengers" is the way it should be, I agree with that even as a Thor fan.

Yeah, his tagline alone suggests he should be the strongest, although not at base level. It just makes me wonder what tactics Thor and Loki will use though to hold his own/defeat him in their respective fights, I really want to see how it all plays out.

I hope we get some awesome displays of strength from The Hulk during the course of the movie also.

I hope Thor uses a combination of his super strength (although inferior to Hulk's), his superior fighting skills, and a few weather related attacks to hold his ground against Hulk.

I think we're gonna see Loki using teleportation, duplication, and energy attacks to confuse Hulk a bit and keep him at a distance.

That's a given since Hulk is Marvel's poster boy for super strength, I just hope Thor and Iron Man's get a fair share of strength feats as well (even Loki to some extent).

I would like to see how Thor does against the Hulk without Mjolnir, and see the upper limits of Thor's god strength.

He would lose....it wouldn't be by much, but he would.

So if Hulk is a 10 on a 1-10 power scale, then Thor is maybe an 8 or 9? anyone know how their current power levels compare in the comics?

I agree, Hulk would eventually get to strong for him, but I've seen Thor use weather related attacks without Mjlnonir before so are you guys talking strictly "hand to hand"?

Thor just had a badass fight with Silver Surfer and he even flew though Galactus's head and crash landed on Mars virtually unharmed, so I would says he's pretty high up there.

I'm trying to think of what acts on strength Hulks done lately.....nothing comes up.

lately? and in what medium?

because when I think of recent ones from the comics this is what comes to mind:

Hulk keeps a planet from tearing apart.

Hulk survives a nova burst from Johnny Storm

When Hulk Broke New York.

In a hand to hand purely fight I don't think movie Thor would stand a chance against Hulk, although we never really saw any feats of strength from Thor in his movie.

Recent feats of strength from comic Hulk also involve going toe to toe with Sentry, one of the most powerful beings in the universe and nearly breaking off I think it was the whole west coast of America by stomping his foot.

I mean just pitting strength against strength, Thor would lose. Although I do give him a nod in the experience department, there's only so many tricks someone can use against Hulk before his strength overwhelms them.

Hasn't Doc Samson gone toe to toe with the Hulk and held his own? I would think that Thor would do just as well as Samson, if not better.

Samson is also a skilled hand to hand fighter. Thor is probably in the same league, but Samson's genius level intellect and degree in psychology allows him to see and react to things that Thor probably wouldn't give a 2nd thought to. Without his hammer, relying on strength alone, he would lose against Hulk.

With his hammer, and employing full use of his weather powers, as well as battle tactics, and strength, he would probably defeat Hulk. Think of it as an MMA fighter versus a boxer. If he stands there and trades punches, he's probably going to lose. If he falls back on Jujitsu, Muy Thai, and wrestling tactics, he would win.

Except Thor is far stronger than Samson, being in Class 100 category and all.

True, makes perfect sense

Loki calls The Hulk a mindless beast in the movie, but I think he's scared of him. I can't wait to see the cocky god of mischief beaten to a pulp when they have their one on one fight. I hope Banner sends him crawling back to Asgard s bloody mess.

I can't believe that I didn't think of this example before, but when it comes to seeing on how I'd like to see the Hulk and Thor matched up together in their strengths and skills when going at it in the film, I'd like to see it as evenly paired up as they did with Jet Li's and Jackie Chan's one and only fight sequence from "The Forbidden Kingdom".

In that scene, neither were shown being more superior than the other, and both of their characters gave as good as they took from the other character.

If they could do that with Thor and Hulk in this film, then that'd be the perfect way to avoid getting any backlash like the Hulk vs. Thor animated film did where the Hulk is portrayed as being vastly superior to Thor in every way.

Just for the record, I wouldn't want to see Thor vastly stronger than the Hulk. Both character imho deserve the respect in being portrayed as two powerful individuals without neither being labeled as the superior one in order to get them over.

I feel the exact same way, in the comics they're both able to go toe to toe with each other so I wouldn't want to see either of them shown as being superior to the other.

I like what you said about Jet Li and Jackie Chan's fight in "The Forbidden Kingdom", I definatley want to see Hulk and Thor portrayed as equals in this film so both character's can be shown proper respect.

Hiddleston said Thor is the toughest Avengers for Loki to fight, so I don't think Hulk's going to beat him.

I'm one of the people who consider Thor and Hulk to be fairly even, but Loki isn't someone who you can fight with strength alone because it's not like he's gonna stand and trade blows with Hulk. I'm not saying Thor is better than the Hulk, he just has a wider range of powers making him more suitable for someone as diverse as Loki.
