Why? Keep in mind that's a head taller coupled with being at least twice as wide. Thor'll still look like a toothpick in comparison. I think that would suit me just fine.

Since when has the Hulk had the catchphrase "Biggest one there is!"? It's "Strongest one there is!" and his strength should bely his size even for someone as large as he is. Just like Superman or Thor's do.

i just think he should be bigger than what a human being can be....also in muscle masses of course....a 7ft. human with a massive girth like the hulk sure looks intimidating and not from this world ....i just want him to be a bit more exagerated than this....
here for example:


the biggest bodybuilder in the world i guess, he is 6'6....
add some more mass and some more height and we have a hulk.....

^I think that guy(who's basically Thor's dimensions) only coming up to Hulk's neck coupled with Hulk being 2FT wider than him would achieve that impression. And Hulk would still only need to be 7-7.5 feet tall to make that work.

this one is even more than thor dimensions...so yeah ...hulk could be around 7,5 and would still overshadow the biggest one in this movie...there are humans who grew up to 8 feet ...sure those are extremly rare but nontheless i prefer my hulk more superhuman than any one else....except for monsters from the comics that are even bigger....

IMO Thor should come upto Hulk's chest, I was happy with TIH's height but could settle for 8 feet, I like Hulk to be taller than the biggest humans.

Was Lou Ferrigno really 6'5"? I know that's his official listed height, but he didn't look that tall compared to others in the TV series, and looked even shorter when he played a double role in the episode "King of the Beach" when he stood next to Bill Bixby and was not in Hulk makeup. There wasn't a huge height difference.

Also, in "Chuck" he might even have been shorter than Zachary Levi.

If everyone in Hollywood lists their height as 1 or 2 inches taller than they are, then maybe he was only 6'4" or 6'3"?

If I may start another topic of discussion. What do you guys think about the number of times we will see THE HULK in the film. I know it's only the teaser trailer but I'm getting a vibe that he might only appear once - in the final major action sequence.

They probably exaggerated his height a little, but he was still a big guy. Check him out here standing barefoot at the same level as Arnie

Interesting point. I wonder if Marvel would ever lay down some ground rules for it's artists, for the sake of consistency. E.g. Hulk must always be drawn to be circa 8ft tall, 9ft tall, must always be this shade of green, whatever.

They used to be pretty strict with artists staying 'On Model'. Even Kirby's pencils would be altered if they felt he strayed too far from the accepted model at the time (there's a cover of the FF where Joe Sinnott's inks have corrected the pencils to make the Thing look more like the standard brick brow type for that time). This extended to other characters too, with artists told to bulk up previously slim characters, like Mr Fantastic & Spider-Man, to fit a more classic hero build.

I think it was in the mid to late 80's, maybe around the time John Byrne took over the FF and changed the look of the Thing and Mr. Fantastic (changed the face and shape of the Thing and put Reed on a severe crash diet), that they started being a bit more relaxed in letting artists put more of their own spin on the looks.

Anyway's, up to around the late 80's the Hulk was typically drawn at about 7ft tall, and most artists didn't have a problem staying true to that model. Through the 90's on though a number have found it necessary to go beyond that, so I think the sort of accepted height is now at around 8 to 9 ft.

I'm happy with 8-9. I don't want him any taller or much shorter. 7 ft is just a bit to short IMO. Just under 8' I could deal with, but not a foot shorter at 7'.

As long as Thor doesn't come up any higher than his chin then I'd say that's the limit of how short he could get. Of course if we ever get Joe Fixit then he should be the same height as Thor(but still twice as wide). I think their relative heights in A:EMH are darn near perfect.

I don't know. The NYCC footage that was reported suggests that BB will not transform during his introduction.

I'm a little worried. Obviously I can't do anything about it, but I would really like to see THE HULK in at least 2 major action sequences.

I'd speculate that MARVEL studios might be wary wrt THE HULK as his poor VFX hurt the performance of both his films and they might not want to risk that happening with this film.

Anyway we'll just have to wait and see with fingers and toes crossed.

I've been wondering about this myself. Did anyone see a copy of the entire leaked script? I'm wondering how many times he 'Hulked-out' in that draft.

I'm guessing twice but i would not be surprised if it was only once as the x factor to win the climactic battle at the end.

I would think seeing Bruce hulk out at least twice is a pretty safe bet.

It looks like the first time he Hulks out, is on the Hellicarrier. I'm guessing he stays hulked out for the rest of the big battle. Whedon is very much treating him as a weapon of mass destruction, so I think there will be a big build up, and then he gets unleashed to take on Loki and foes.

For sure, I should have said, that I think he is saving him for one big reveal for the battle royale at the end of the movie, instead of having Banner Hulk out multiple times.

I'm thinking this is a big possibility. Hulk will probably be hinted at and teased with comments such as the ones made by Stark. Banner will most likely resist confrontation till he finally gets pushed to the point of no return and will be a real big part of the final scene. It wouldn't surprise me one but that Marvel would throw out all the stops in the cg used on Hulk for an extended final battle with Hulk doing crazy **** while looking amazing.
