Speaking of 150 million dollar movies, I saw "Wrath of The Titans" last night and it really shows how much you can do with 150 million bucks.

The only part that actually took me out of the movie and really bothered me was the bit in the cave. That was truly terrible. For 2008? For a 150 million dollar budgeted movie? Awful.

I can't say i'm haven't been guilty of over analyzing stuff in THI. My only complaint with TIH was that the fights weren't as action packed as I imagined they would be.

I'd argue the Campus fight and the Hulk/Abom fight were probably two of the most action packed fight sequences across all of the new MCU films. I loved'em. They're what made me so critical of other poorly done fight sequences that I had hopes for ...... like the Cap & Red Skull fight that peaked out too soon.

Really? I didn't think it was that impressive other than the big finale.

The Cyclops for example looked bad.

Serious? Wow man. That was actually one of my favorite SFX moments in the film, especially when they were sitting down together.

Yea, the skin texture and how the water reacted to his skin was horrible. Truly horrible. Looked like he was made out of slime or some waterproof material or something. Skin does absorb water, it's not scotch-guarded.

That's the thing, i didn't need to analyse it. It jumped right out at me.

Kronus, The Chimera, and those creatures with two bodies stucked together all looked very cool in my opinion.

The way Zeus's lightning looked during his attack on Kronus at the end was very awesome, that's exactly how I want Thor's lightning to look.

You see, I wasn't a fan of the skin but I can understand that Hulk's skin isn't normal skin, it can survive intense heat and can take bullet fire, aswell as being super healing so it's not going to react the same way that human skin does, that's what I think LL was trying to show us. When you think about it, making his skin that shiney would actually require more work, so they must've had a reason to do it.

Skin absorbs it on a microscopic level ..... not like a sponge. You would never be able to see it via the naked eye. The water trickling down his body in that scene is pretty natural in my book, especially given that it was pouring out. I thought it looked fantastic.

I actually thought the cave scene was fine. It's the campus scene with this shot that looked horrible. What's worse is they used in most of the promos, so it probably didn't help sell the movie at all.

I liked the Campus scene.

I can understand some of the grievances of the shots of Hulk during the day in the film, but that picture you posted is just a *****ty picture altogether.

Aside from his issues with how things went when it came to the final cut of the film, I wonder if another potential issue as to why Norton didn't return to reprise the role is because of how Joss and Marvel wanted Bruce Banner and the Hulk to be portrayed differently from what was shown in "TIH"?

I mean, I keep reading interviews on how Joss said that he wanted a fresh take on the character from what we were shown of him thus far, and given that Norton was responsible for helping to create the story of "TIH" along with potentially the interpretation of the character back then, I wonder if him wanting to maintain that character was a part of that creative difference that he had with Marvel that fueled his departure from the franchise.

Honestly, considering that it was revealed as well that Mark was the first person that they were thinking about going to after losing Ed, I kind of wish that:

1. They had picked Mark for the role from the very beginning for TIH as well, just for the sake of visual continuity

2. That they had gone with Mark's current version of Bruce for TIH, along with having had more money in putting more effort in creating a flawless looking Hulk like how we're getting now.

Imagining Norton in this role, would be awesome.

Yes it is. The CGI wasnt perfect, but that picture is just bad

The thing i didn't like was that Norton was playing Norton and not playing banner. It doesn't really bother me that Norton isn't in this movie. I wanted the Hulk to be reset any way.

I find it funny because essentially RDJ is playing RDJ in the IM movies, yet detractors of Norton say he's just being Norton. With that said, it would imply that you know what Norton is like off-screen .... which you don't. As pointed out previously, Feige is the one responsible for removing some of the more character-building scenes.

The criticism though is almost a bad cliche. Let's face it, certain actors have certain blatant sensibility about them that will naturally come out if you don't have a complex role or suffer from a meddling film exec cutting the guts out of the movie. Furthermore, Bruce Banner IMO is not exactly the kind of role that calls on an actor to go completely outside of himself .... ex. Daniel Day Lewis in "There Will Be Blood" .....

I would've walked away too because it's a continuation of a broken agreement. They made promises to Norton that were ignored when it came down to cutting the final film ...... and Norton was also under the impression he was contributing to a larger payoff in the Avengers. So for the second time they ignored what he worked to put together. It's a slap to the face when you're a life-long and passionate Hulk fan like Norton is.

I find Whedon's obsession with Ruffalo bizarre. He talks about the guy like he's re-invented acting. He's a lifelong "supporting role" kind of guy and easily forgettable in almost everything I've seen him in. I have concern for possible future Hulk sequels with him headlining, but obviously need to actually see The Avengers before coming to a conclusion.

I LOVED Norton's Bruce Banner ALOT more than most fans, I can't wait to see what Ruffalo brings to the table though.

I'm not going to miss Norton, he was okay in TIH but he's hardly irreplaceable. IMO he wasn't that much better than Eric Bana.

I do wonder what's going to become of Liv Tyler and William Hurt assuming that Marvel does indeed go ahead with another Hulk film would any of the old cast members return?

They'll surely re-cast them as well ...... and I'm sure other some other comments will follow about how forgettable they were, that train is never late.

I liked Hurt, tyler was meh. Wouldnt mind if she were recast.

Liv was okay, better than Connelly at least. Hurt got stuck with a poorly written role.
Tim Roth was great though, the best Villain of the MCU so far.
