Apparently Ruffalo also has a 6 picture deal with MS.

Now that it seems like we might be starting up a new Hulk franchise in 2015 do you guys think his appearance will change much since technology just keeps improving. I can't imagine an even more realistic looking Hulk.

I really hope not, they need to start giving the Hulk franchise a bit of continuity.

With the rumor of Hulk coming out in 2015, isn't it obvious that Guillermo Del Toro should shift from working on that hulk tv show to developing a movie with Ruffalo?

Absolute BS!!!

This!

Anybody that thinks Doomsday isn't DC's Hulk is living in a fantasy land....truly if there were direct comparisons to be made between DC and Marvel characters the 2 closest would be: Superman/Thor (each have a vast powerset that are equals); Hulk/Doomsday (Both unstoppable/Feared by "ALL" heroes and villains alike). I have no doubt a true Hulk/Supes (not fan decided) battle would go down identically to Supes/Doomsday as would a Thor/Hulk and Doomsday/Thor battle.

And this!!
Nonetheless, fans inherently prefer certain superheroes over others. “It’s just like you would think — Iron Man and Captain America sell more than Thor,” says Gitter. However, The Hulk may soon surpass them all. Marvel executives have been “pleasantly surprised by the phenomenal response” to this green superhero, and expect this fan affinity to further strengthen once the movie opens. “His sales are up in a major way. We repositioned him from where he was always misunderstood to now depicting him in a more heroic and aspirational manner,” says Gitter.

If Hulk’s successful turnaround continues, Gitter says Marvel “will spin him off to a stand-alone program next year,” supported by a big budget franchise movie in 2015. The entertainment studio is also exploring ways to promote Hulk as a “corporate icon,” similar to MetLife’s usage of Peanuts’ Snoopy, where The Hulk’s image conveys a message about channeling strength to overcome workplace challenges.

And now, this is awesome news!:word:

This is off topic but to answer something posted earlier about Black Cat copying Catwoman:

The Black Cat is sometimes mistakenly considered an homage to DC's Catwoman,[5] yet Felicia Hardy's signature low-cut black costume, cat burglar profession, and steady relationship to Spider-Man predate Selina Kyle's similar depiction in comics by almost a decade. Catwoman originally appeared in comics as "the Cat", a maskless pickpocket in a green dress and unrequited love interest for Batman,[6] but later became a supervillain who used big cats for elaborate crimes.[7] Although she was eventually given a black catsuit and was a romantic interest in the 1966-1968 live-action Batman television series, her modern incarnation combining these elements did not occur in comic books until 1987 with Frank Miller's Batman: Year One.[8] Wolfman said in an interview, "I didn't plan Black Cat to be in Spidey. I created her for Spider-Woman (look at the letter column of the first B.C. story and you’ll see). I then decided to leave Spider-Woman and moved her over. So, I never even thought of Catwoman when I did her. I got the idea for her from a Tex Avery cartoon, Bad Luck Blackie."

Stand alone program = Television Show

Big Budget Franchise = More Solo Movies

Hulk Fan = Automatic Wins

With Spider-Man movies being under Sony's control and Wolverine under Fox's...it only makes sense that Hulk would be Disney's Marvel Entertainments poster boy...

Would love, love, love this.

They should just scrap the tormented soul angle and have Banner try to turn the Hulk into a hero. Kinda like the Avengers cartoon, steering him toward doing good. Maybe throw in heavy SHIELD involvement, as they try to keep the military off Hulk's back, while he maybe goes after the Leader. Something like that.

I read a statement that Jeph Loeb made that Marvel was in the process of making Hulk a hero. IMO. Hulk has always been the anti-hero that never went out looking to save the day, and despite his strength usually found himself on the defensive. Which I enjoyed for the many years I've read him.

I just hope they don't water him down too much if at all...but I'm giving ME the benefit of the doubt.

Quintupleded!

I think he means more realistic as in more realistic in his surrounding environments and even better cgi not how he looks overall(hulk)
I mean imagin how good he will look when he is the main character in avengers he looked really good and he wasn't eveb the main character so in his own movie I'm betting he'll look completely real or pretty damn close

Edit: Nevermind

I agree that Superman and Doomsday both have a higher level of Durability. It's not like Hulk and Thor are severely below them.

Hmmmm, did you not read this?

Thor's fought in the core of the sun, survived a blast capable of destroying galaxies, and took a direct hit from 3 celestials without being KO'd...so yeah he's about as tough as Supes.

I'm FAR more familiar with Thor's feats, but I'm sure Hulk is just as tough so I don't see how Doomsday/Supes have more durabilty.

Just make him an ***hole that loves smashing. No need to become a boyscout by becoming a hero. And keep Banner they way he was in the Movie. No moping around anymore.

Honestly I don't know why everyone is suprised about Hulk getting a sequel, I knew this was going to happen after the critics raved about Hulk/Ruffalo's performance.

Yeah we cant regress to Banner looking for a cure or trying to kill himself anymore. He's in the semi-acceptance phase in the movie, and the audience has responded to that portrayal very positively. I want a Hulk movie that is fun exciting action packed scary and funny. Actually, I would like Del Toro to shift his focus on the movie rather than the TV series, or Edgar Wright for that matter.

The key to Ruffalo's success in the Avengers is his performance as Banner, I enjoyed Banner as much as the Hulk. He was funny quirky and dangerous all at the same time. The other Banners before were sad tortured emo and whiny which is understandable. I want the Hulk vs the Leader on 2014 or 2015!! I really think Ruffalo's gonna be an A-lister from now on.

Hulk with the Hellboy vibe could be great. And finally have him be able to properly talk. Fun and exciting is really how the movie should be. The stuff people responded so well to in the Avengers? Give us more of that. Give us Earth's Mightiest Heroes Hulk. That big, green, lovable, trash talking jerk.

As long as they don't make him too big of a jerk, I can't really root for someone who's always putting everyone down.

Yeah, it could be part of his 'graduation', as Ruffalo named his evolution.

Exactly Nathan! My only complaint with the Hulk in the Avengers movie was the talking part. He needs to speak a lot more. It could be comedic gold if he talked more.

I was really hoping for Hulk to call Thor "Goldilocks." in the Movie.
