Do you guys think that if another hulk solo movie was done and it bombed hulk would be in avengers 2 or not

It wouldn't matter, with all the praise Hulk's getting in this film he's a sure lock for Avengers 2.

Anybody that thinks Hulk was going all out in the Helicarrier is "an old man and a fool!". He was targeted specifically to Thor, and therefore wasn't worried about wrecking the ship. Based on his strength, and insane jumping at the end of the movie I would say he could have jumped straight up and out onto the deck at any time; Thor/and the pilot really saved the Helicarrier by keeping him occupied.
I don't think anyone has argued that Hulk was going all out on the Helicarrier but I understand now that there might have been a misunderstanding since I wondered why the other poster kept debating if Hulk could destroy it or not.

Hulk was all in kill and destroy mode but as you say, Thor kept Hulk focused on him so the destruction wouldn't be so great.

Yes, that would only prove that Hulk couldn't carry a story by himself like the others can. We already know that he does work in an ensemble movie so he'd definitely be part of Avengers 2 regardless of what happens to his solo status.

I saw the Avengers last night. I thought Banner and his "other guy" were awesome. I prefer Ruffalo's Banner more than the earlier ones. I liked the chemistry between Ruffalo and Scarlett and the rest of the team. Hulk vs Thor was pretty awesome. It was cool to see Banner and Stark discussing about science.

For the love of all that is holy will this Thor/Hulk nonsense stop? Who gives a ****.

One thing I really liked was how BW had a genuine fear of the Hulk.

^You knew the risks.

The relationship between Banner and Tony was very well written. I think it helped that Ruffalo and Downey are actually good friends. That's why I think things worked out for the best. I know a lot of people wanted Norton but that type of chemistry wouldn't have been there between him and Tony had he been in The Avengers.

I do wonder how much RDJ factored into the discussion when they decided to recast Banner/Hulk. Whedon said Ruffalo was his first and only choice even before he wrote the script and was shocked to know that he was Marvel's first choice too. Knowing that those two have chemistry from Zodiac must have helped.

Someone creates a new account and starts his posting by making derogatory comments to a part of the fanbase and a fan in particular? Yeah, we're all going to take that very seriously... :whatever:

I love how he tries to make it out as if were all "Thor rulez teh Hulk sux" when he's the only one here using that logic.

Lulz :hehe:

How many minutes of screentime do you guys think hulk had total and did any of you think his first hulk out was short he didn't do much except chase widow and sort of fight Thor and tear down the jet well that's what I remember anyway

Not nearly enough, but every time he was onscreen it was amazing.

He and Thor definatey had less screentime than everyone during the final battle, it seemed to focus more on Cap, BW, and IM.

I can't estimate the screen time but I think his first part was very good. He got to be scary when he chased Widow, the fans got a fight between him and Thor and he just trashed a jet so I can't really ask for anything more. I think that's quite a lot.

Hulk isn't just Hulk either, he's also Bruce Banner and combined they definitely had plenty of screen time. There were others that would need more time before he did in my opinion.

It just seems like now that I've seen it, it's almost like he really didn't do much he got like 5 minutes total probably

Personally, I think Thor stopped trying to protect him once he got Mjolnir, he didnt hold anything back once he did that uppercut, he was trying to put Hulk down and couldnt. At first he was trying to protect but I personally dont think he was after that point.

And after the fight Thor looked more roughed up than Hulk did. Plus if one guy has a nose bleed but the other doesnt, surely that indicates some level of getting the better of the fight.

Yeah, that's how I see it too.

The only amount of "roughing up" Thor had was a barely visible bloody nose....that's it.

HULK!!!! Truly amazing. Truly. ****ing fantastic. Phenomenal.

INCREDIBLE

The great thing about Thor and Hulk's fight was that it should please both sets of fans. Thor was clearly holding back, didn't have the use of Mjolnir for most of the fight, but still got some good shots in.

But at the same time it showed that Hulk is a beast and the physically stronger character.

Loved the shot of Thor wiping the blood from his nose and smiling, like he was thinking "Finally, an opponent worthy to take on the God of Thunder!"

And when they were fighting side by side on the dragon? OOOOOOOWWWWWWWEEEEE!

Best Hulk and Banner yet. Loved Ruffalo the second I saw him in his introductory scene. I remember when I started the support Ruffalo thread in July 2010 so I'm glad that paid off.

I'm looking forward to a potential Hulk sequel. With Ruffalo and hopefully the same supporting cast.

Plus anyone love how
they didn't just reference Harlem, but they also referenced the opening deleted scene from TIH? I mean if they do that, then it's defnitely in continuity.

Feige himself said "TIH is definitely canon" or something to that effect in an interview recently.

The whole Thor/Hulk fight is overrated anyway, the IM/Thor fight is much better choreographed not to mention longer and way more pic.

I don't think Thor vs Hulk is overrated But I'll agree IM/Thor was overall better!!

The Thor/Hulk fight was pretty non-existent. Too many cutaways and not enough just knocking around.
