If anything, Whedon made me have more faith in recasts lol.
What I liked about Ruffalo's performance as Banner was that he had that underlying simmering anger that Bixby showed when playing Banner. I didn't get any feel of anger from Bana's and Norton's performances. When Ruffalo's Banner was on the Helicarrier and slowly building up his anger whilst everyone was arguing made Banner seem threatening which makes Hulk even more threatening.
I think traps that high looks freakish in a bad way. Yeah, TIH Hulk had good proportions. Loved that look. I can't have any complaints on Avengers Hulk though. As an overall package including Banner he is easily my favourite. His traps? His delts are bigger than his head. I just kinda figured that's what makes him Hulk. His hands and feet are ridiculous too. His look in The Incredible Hulk was the most proportionate but I find I like him more when he's a little deformed looking.

Doesn't matter.
the major problem with the look of ang lee's hulk is the green is way too bright so there was no way on this earth the character would look realistic and what's more the ILM guys were trying to convince ang lee to darken down the character and ang lee wasn't having it. in fact the hulk was a comprimise as ang lee wanted the hulk even BRIGHTER.
darkning down the hulk in the avengers works wonders with making the hulk seem part of the environment

I think he found his family, Ruffalo said. I think its really about family in a weird way. All the ego, all the stuff you have to get through to work together, you know. He wants to have a life. Joss, he has him push that cradle, you know, I dont always get what I want, in that first scene. He doesnt have a life. He doesnt have anywhere to be. He doesnt have a family. And maybe this is the beginning of that for him.

Man, The Incredible Hulk was pretty inconsistent with the CGI. I love it all the same, though. Still my favorite of the Marvel movies. Ssso much violence.
It used to be my favorite before The Avengers. Still love it to death though. Just loved the whole vibe.
After all the debates, it just seems appropo.
Do you guys remember the comic-con when they did the Avengers line-up introductions and they booed Mark Ruffalo? I wonder how those people feel now.
