I mentioned "Stop". 99% sure I heard it.

As for Hulk Smash, it was not in there.

Hey i am sure after seeing it again, it does look like Hulk says "Stop" and if you look closely at his mouth you can see the word formed in his mouth.I havent heard anything else Hulk has supposedly says bc most if it was roars, grunts etc.
I believe he does say stop. Its like he is saying it and roaring at the same time. What really sold me on it was when i watched his mouth and the word was formed.
Blu ray release cant come soon enough.

Did anyone notice when Tony and Banner are talking with the screen between them that Bruce's face reflection is that of Hulks face? ;) pretty cool!

:shock

No way, really? I guess I'm just gonna have to go see it again. :awesome:

I call BS on that CHUD info. Sounds too good to be true. Particularly this bit:

Funny. A few people on here had made that exact same suggestion.

Guilty as charged.

It's only natural though. As natural as it was for WB to get Nolan involved in Superman due to TDK. Money talks.

I'm willing to bet there has been alot of studio talk involving him in other Marvel films, whether they make that info public or not.

lol any excuse :whatever: Yep, like I said you have to look close, its extremely subtle! Not snarling or baring teeth or anything, literally just a reflection of his other side. Very sneakly lol cos the convo at that point is talking about just that - the other guy - and your eye is guided to RDJ and his lovely little speech..but when the screen is almost blank you see it! Sneakiest easter egg ever?

You sure you're not just seeing what you wanna see? Sound a bit more likely. Not to mention the Hulk's face is basically Ruffalo's.

It would appear nobody on the planet has noticed this except you.

I'm not sure why we didn't see this:

CAPTAIN: And Hulk...smash.

HULK: Hulk...smash!

And then Hulk proceeds to smash.

I dunno. He said "Puny God", but not "Hulk smash".

It might have been funny if he said "Hulk strongest one there is!" during the bit where he punches Thor.

It is fascinating. The Hulk is truly a uniquely layered character. Too bad the movies until now referenced the wrong stuff.

Gravage/Green Scar has been in control since the late 90's. It first appeared to me that he was a mix of Gray Hulk and Savage, but has since been shown to be his own individual incarnation. Jeph Loeb wrote a story where Hulk went to Las Vegas and the Gray Hulk personality exploded out of Banner. That was his Mr. Fixit body guard days stomping grounds. Savage Hulk reappeared after the World War Hulk fiasco, due to Banner feeling great remorse at what he and Gravage had done. Hulk's son Skaar appearance caused Gravage/Green Scar to re-merge as the dominant Hulk for now.

Depending on Banner's or or one of the Hulk's mental states at anytime; this will determine what Hulk dominates.

During the Peter David years, Gray Hulk and Savage Hulk fought for domination in Banner's head before Samson merged them with Banner, which created the Merged Hulk later called by writer Paul Jenkins' "the Professor".

When watching Avengers, I thought Banner's last change would have been a perfect time for the Professor to come out had there even been prior mentions of the different personas on screen. The Prof, after all, is the most noble of the incarnations. But it seems like all we ever get on the silver screen in the Savage version.

Someone seems abit touche they didn't notice it? Go back and have a look..I didn't see it til yesterday.

I didn't go in wanting to see it, I noticed it..and like I said before its SO subtle. The faces are similar but Hulks is far more prehistoric looking, and green, so its true.

The "Professor" or Gravage/Green Scar could have potentially emerged. There is so much possibility with exploring the Hulk's and Banner's personality dilema which the world must see that you can't get in a 2 hour movie, nuch less one with 10 other notable characters...this is why a weekly Television show would be perfect.

Also, nobility is a trait of every Hulk. They will do the right thing 95% of the time despite the circumstance. As I mentioned above, even the meanest spirited Hulk, Gray Hulk; could not tolerate bullying.

Do we even need Betty back? She's seems so tied to Ross, and lot of people don't want Ross and the military chasing Banner in the next flick. I wouldn't mind if he side-kicked with his cousin Jennifer Walters - although i don't think i'm ready for She-Hulk yet.

I think the love interest thing works to keep most of the women interested as well as grounding the character in something we all can understand.

Ross should always be a part of Hulk lore...even when he's not chasing him. Hulk and Ross have teamed before to stop a common foe; only later to have Ross get back to business.

As long as we don't have Ross as Red Hulk, I'm all for him staying in the MCU films.

Ross should just be there like J Jonah Jameson. He doesn't have to be the main part of the story at all, but just there as an additional antagonist in the background.

If the Hulk's movie franchise continues...we will probably eventually get a Ross as Red Hulk. With the Red Hulk in comics, Hulk Agents of S.M.A.S.H. animation show, and Guilermo Del Toro and the David Eick TIH television show being loosley based on the World War Hulks story...it's almost set in stone to eventually happen.

Exactly.

yeah he doesnt say hulk smash, but just a short "smash" as he begins to pummel those aliens on the side of the building. and I heard the "stop" all three times I saw it.

Ive seen the movie 5 times, going for a 6th tomorrow, I did not hear a stop, or a smash once lol damn. Was it ruffalo's voice?

no its slightly deeper and more gravely than the "puny god" line. I saw in IMAX the first and third time so the sound quality was on point.
-look for the "stop" when the jet begins to fire at him
-look for the "smash" when he jumps into action on the side of the building, he says it right as he jumps across to the next building over.

I saw it 4 times and haven't heard anything other than "puny god."

I never heard "Stop" the first time I saw it..the second time I just heard a giant Rawr with a P on the end I think. Just saw it again last night and didn't even hear the resemblance of any kind of word lol. Oh well.

I loved when he was jumping from building to building smashing aliens; it was awesome. He gets better n better with each viewing.

I'll be seeing it for the third time this weekend and I'll be paying attention to those lines. I've had a stressful week that will end on friday and I plan to relax, watch Avengers in a not so full cinema and have a few beers afterwards.

True...When he first attacked Loki, I thought he moved too much like a monkey the first time I saw the film. But after a few viewing I thought the expression on Ruffaluk's face was hilarious as Loki tells him to "Stop!"

I still think he was too monkeyish after he caught Stark though. Excellent performance from Ruffalo and the animators of Hulk.
