That was the one with those dogs, and it plays like a tense mystery thriller, with different people giving their version of the events to exonerate themselves from the blame. Banner takes a job working for the villains there, just to figure out whether the Hulk is really guilty or not. I think it's called something like "Of Models and Murder", or something like that. It might even be the one with the scrap car crusher at the end.

That's the one, I think is called "Of Guilt and Murder" or so. Is one of my favorites.
Now that I think about it, there are A LOT of great episodes and is hard to pick a favorite.

I bought the show on dvd and I watch it constantly, the only one I don't have is "The Death..." movie, I remember I cried when I was a kid watching it :oldrazz:

And it stars Jeremy Brett (aka the best Sherlock Holmes ever along with Benedict) as the bad guy.:awesome:

I love the ep where Banner is paralyzed from the waist down, and is lying in bed depressed. He then realizes that turning into the Hulk, can help re-generate his spine, so he smashes a glass, and is about to slam his hand down on the broken glass to cause a hulk out, then he realizes he has no control over the destruction Hulk might 'cause, so changes his mind. Little scenes like that speak volumes about Bixby's Banner.

I watched the 3rd episode of season 2. First off, the 2 episodes that kickstarted season 2 are one of the most amazing Hulk and non-Hulk stories I've ever seen. It's the one where he marries the scientist with the terminal cancer. Where he tells her the story with the tigers and the strawberry... WTF?

Why the hell hasn't anyone done justice to that character since Bixby and the writing team of that show? Seriously, if I ever made it to Hollywood I'd always thought I'd want to tackle Batman (hey, I can dream), but after this series... a phenomenal Hulk trilogy doesn't seem like something it would take a genius to achieve.

Anyone care to suggest good Hulk stories to read? Please?

Planet Hulk by Greg Pak
Ground zero by Peter David
Future Imperfect/ Hulk:the End by Peter David
The Crossroads saga by Bill Mantalo
Dogs of War by Paul Jenkins
Return of the Monster by Bruce Jones ( though I would avoid anything else Bruce jones did with the character)

I'd like to get some size comparison pics for the new hulk to add to this. Ang's hulk sure was a beast though.

The most recent Hulk was maybe a little shorter than Norton's, but he still towered over people like Evans and Hemsworth.

I guess Avenger's Hulk was probably just a feet shorter and TIH's.

Love that ep. It's called 'Married' (or Bride of TIH). That ep has one of the greatest Hulk-outs in the shows history ala the hypnosis scene.

All of Peter David's Visionaries. Greg Pak's entire run. John Byrnes' Visionary.

Excellent choices except Bruce Jones - good ideas bad execution and the same with Paul Jenkins' to a much lesser extent...IMO.

Yeah, it was called "Married". Another thing I like about the show is the imaginative circumstances under which he hulks outs. The 747 flight, or the episode where he was driving while hulking out. That's terrifying stuff if handled properly in a movie.

One detraction, although understandable in order to ensure the duration of the show and the likeability of the character, is that the Hulk isn't all-destructive. He seems to be an angry extension of Bruce's character and a means to physically achieve what Bruce can't due to him being a normal human being. Most of the times there is no collateral damage (well, aside from material property). But, like I said, it's understandable, so it's not really a gripe.

Appreciate it. Thank you, too!

They actually released that feature length series opener in the cinemas around Europe back in the late 70s, as if it were an actual Hulk movie(they did the same with the pilot episode). There are movie posters for it floating around the net, I think they called it Bride of the Hulk, like BOFrankenstein, lol, I would look for them and post them, but i am running a bath right now, and if I do that i will forget about it, and it will overflow and knock out the downstaors lightbulb, lol.
But yes, a great episode, and I saw both 'Married' and the pilot at the cinema when I was a kid.

and as for interesting Hulk outs, my all time favourite is from the episode where
Banner works for a pop star and Hulk's out in the recording studio while tripping on acid that he has been spiked with, very funny indeed.

Haven't seen that yet, sounds like lots of fun.

I found the poster you refer to:

Nice!

I loved Ang's film but I never did like the whole "the angrier he gets, the larger he gets" thing. He looked a little silly being that huge.

That means eventually he would be the size of king kong or dare I say Godzilla!

And if he's super calm, he would be the size of Ant-Man.

The Hulk-outs in the TV series have always been more scary than any of the movies.

I really like the first Hulk out in Ang's film. Dark, painful looking/sounding, and you could really feel the rage and stress bubble to the surface.

And who wouldn't love to trash their workplace in a fit of rage? :awesome:

Yeah, I think it was obviously that Ang Lee had no understanding of Hulk's history in the comics, and probably watched a few of the Bixby Hulk TV show and just did whatever the heck he wanted. Back then, he just won alot of accolades with CTHD, and so he had a decent amount of control as the director of that movie. I think after it failed at the box office, Marvel probably decided to keep a tighter rein on their properties to ensure that it won't go out of hand like Ang's Hulk movie did.

That one was cool too. He hallucinated that Hulk was about to stomp on his face, thus causing a hulk-out...how ironic!

Others i like:

The pilot Hulk out where's he's chainging the tire. Even after the change has been triggered, he continues to try and change the tire as has has no idea what's going on.

The hulk-out when they think Banner has been attacking women, he's in jail, and a mob swarms in to lynch him.

When he Hulks out in the wrestling ring while being held down in a head lock.

Hulk-out after the phone operator gives him the run around.:woot:

And who wouldn't love to trash their workplace in a fit of rage? :awesome:

"What in the blue blazes happened to your cubicle, Johnson?!"

"Um, gamma rays?"

"Oh, okay then. Carry on."

Doubtful, Ang obviously understood Bruce Banner's character better than Lettierier , the whole father/son/mother trauma was a huge nod to Peter David and Bill Mantalo's work on the character :o

There was that Hulk episode where he was lured onto an island by some big game hunter who created a manhunt for the Hulk. That could easily have been Kraven the Hunter if they decided to use a comic character.

The transformation with the bees was cool in part 1 of Prometheus. That actually had a ton of action and could easily have used General Ross in there as it had Hulk vs the military. I just wish Hulk didn't run around in his underpants or loin cloth. He should've had a pair of jeans at least.

In The First, the evil Hulk's transformation was rather creepy.

In one episode he's talking to the phone operator:

"I DONT HAVE 25 CENTS!!!!" *Hulks out*

I loved that moment!

It's kind of a shame, though not detrimental of course, that we never got a chance to see Banner and Selvig interact with each other. I mean based on what we saw and heard in TA, you wouldn't get the feeling/impression that Selvig and Banner were colleagues like it was mentioned in "thor.
