Spider-Man The Official "I Loved Raimi's Spider-Man' Thread - Part 1 of 99 Luft - - - - Part 13

Every fiber of my being wants a Tobey cameo in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Seriously, no matter how brief, I'd freak out, LOL! My love for Sam's Spider-Man films is unending.
I think it would be really popular. Also if they went with it I’d love to see the reaction of GA guys who have no idea it’s coming.

I agree. Plus, what better way to pay homage to a trilogy that helped inspire the current Marvel Studios formula? Those early Raimi films have a very similar MCU vibe to them, and I can see where Feige took much of the tone Raimi established in those movies for his MCU films. I know we're never getting a proper SM4, but this would be the next best thing, and would be up there for a geek out moment for me with the best of the MCU moments, LOL!

But even if it doesn't happen, them landing Raimi for Doctor Strange 2 is such a coup. Seriously, I don't think there is a more perfect director to handle that movie.

It would be one of the moments of the MCU so far for many I’m sure. And yes, I’ve said also that Raimi is possibly the best person they could possibly have got for Strange. He’s the perfect fit IMO.

It's going to be Cap/Mjolnir level nerdgasm if Tobey comes swinging out of a portal.

Yes it will!!!

All these years later, and Spider-Man 2 is still the king of Spider-Man films for me. While the CG may be out of date relative to today's offerings, few CBMs still have managed to equal the train sequence in that movie. Still a masterpiece! :spidey:

Still trying not to get my hopes up about that. Call me a pessimist, but yeah. :csad:

Absolutely. The crowd are going to go seriously wild.

I can appreciate the effects for the time they came out. Much of the Doc Ock stuff was as groundbreaking for its time in CBMs as anything we've had since.

I actually think I would scream in the cinema, a very gruff, manly scream, but a scream nonetheless.

I really think a Tobey cameo could be such an unbelievable crowd-pleasing moment.

It's not out of the question either. Even if Raimi was trying to be humble and not make the film too self-referential...we all know Fiege holds his Spider-Man films, especially Spider-Man 2 in high esteem. I could easily see Fiege encouraging it.

Tbh, I'm just happy to see Raimi directing a film again. It's been far too long.

Call me crazy but I really hoped there’s a version of Strange in the Raimiverse played by Johnny Depp or someone else. Hell not only him but the other pre mcu movies (except for Elektra lol).

Guys, dream with me but for a minute.

Raimi explodes the Multi-verse via Dr. Strange 2, Tobey cameos. Laying the groundwork for...

"Spider-Man 4"

A few years from now, the fourth Tom Holland film is simultaneously the fourth Raimi Spider-Man film, and it's just called "Spider-Man 4". And it's a Spider-Verse style passing the torch movie co-starring both Tom and Tobey. Raimi directs. Sorry Jon Watts.

I want to live in the timeline where that happens.
