I'm curious to know what is your favourite Spider-Man movie from the trilogy. In special consideration of the ending, which part do you like the most singulary?

I adore all 3 (even though 3 is my least favorite of the trilogy), but if I had to chpose, I'd choose S-M2. The story, the battles, etc. The inner struggle Peter was having with balancing his life as Peter Parker and Spider-Man reminded me so much of the Lee/Romita Sr. era. It was just simply incredible.

My favrorite would be Spider-Man 3. There's no specific reason why. It just is. I love all three movies though.

It's super hard for me to choose.

There are things in all three of them I really dig and bring back great memories. But, if you had to force me to choose, I'd say Spider-Man 1. Mostly because Green Goblin is my favorite, and that was the first major Spidey movie and it was so exciting. Plus, it was all new. By the time 3 came out, we had seen Spidey two times before you know? When the first one came out it was just like, super exciting just for that reason alone.
That's the beauty of firsts in a series.

That is one of my favorite movie final fights. I loved the fights in SM2 and SM3, but it was unfortunate they didn't get that brutal. Put headphones on and turn the volume up when Goblin is beating Spidey, it's painful to listen to and I like that.

S-M1 was purely and simply incredible. 'Nuff said. S-M2 is definitely my favorite, but S-M1 follows in at a very close second. I remember being in awe to actually see Spidey come to life on the big screen.

Another reason why SM1 is my favorite. Best ending to me.
Watching that swing scene alone reminds me why I'm a Spidey fan for the most part.

Hans is amazing.

However, I think his music is just great music that can go with just about anything.
Elfman's just seems to fit with what movie it's on. I can't imagine his Batman or Spidey theme on another film anywhere.

Like, I can play GTA IV with Zimmer's Batman scores, but it's a bit hard to with Elfman's lol. It's so Batman it can't go well with much else.

Well, his Batman theme music is pretty well established. It's like John William's Superman score. When you hear it, you automatically put it with the character. Maybe the Elfman theme does that for you with Spider-Man. Does it for me? Only because I've heard it a million times already that I recognize the theme. Otherwise, it wouldn't. It doesn't say "Spider-Man" to me, but that doesn't mean it's a bad score in anyway.

When I hear Elfman's Batman theme, THAT is Batman to me. Just like how when I hear Elfman's Spidey theme, I think of Spider-Man. I think it just comes down to preference overall.

Yes, they were. The actors were fine, it was the lousy writing that ruined the movie.

Agreed. Spider-Man 3 isn't a very bad movie in my opinion, but it's a movie that's hard to praise, because it seems to have structural problems even in most of its aspects.
For example: The symbiote works well in some scenes (especially in the subtle changes in Spider-Man's mannerisms, for example), but things like the dance sequences play it for laughs which are totally inappropriate and come at the cost of undermining the drive for Peter to get rid of it.

Spider-Man 2, no question. Great final swing, great villain, great acting (mostly), great fights, great effects.

Agreed with both of these. Spider-Man 2 was easily the best, with the best villain, best script, et cetera. Doc Ock was the most well portrayed villain in the whole trilogy, and the fight scenes and action scenes felt like they really tapped into the cinematic potential of Spider-Man's powers.

One of Spider-Man 3's bigger problems is the way the film treats Harry Osborn's character arc and rushes through it to get to Sandman. Scenes like Peter's first confrontation with Harry about Norman's death and Harry using the Goblin formula should be extremely important and built up, but instead they feel rushed through, as though Harry's presence as a villain was a major obstacle to where the film wanted to go. Really, it should have been about the relationship between Peter and Harry as it is now, not as it was in Spider-Man.

Anyone else want to see more wisecracks in the reboot? I mean, it doesn't ruin the film for me, but I loved that "smart ass superhero" aspect in the Spider-Man comics.
