Topher Grace and the story of Brock and Venom there are a work of art

I don't get how dancing Peter Parker was Rami poking fun at the darker and grittier direction CBM's are apparantly going in. He wanted to show Peter Parker being changed but instead of him being more serious and aggressive the symbeote amplified Saturday Night Boogie Woogy Fever.

I consider the dancing scenes to be as bad as Bat-Nipples or Bat-Credit Card.
Add in corny one liners from villains (My Spider-Sense is tingling, if you know what I mean!) and nipples to the symbeote suit and there we have Batman & Robin - Spider-Man version >:|

Symbiote Peter made the glider hit Harry instead of letting it pass by without hurting his friend, and instead of tossing the pumpkin bomb away, he tossed it at Harry's face
That's too aggressive for Peter, and it is aggressive, dancing Peter was overconfident happy crazy going happy insane

Bat nipples aren't always visible, and the card scene is only 2 seconds moment, why make a big deal of something so tiny?

What's wrong with Venom mocking Peter's Spider-Sense? And what's wrong with one liners?
Spider-Man is one of the biggest fans of shooting one liners, that didn't make him a 'suck' in your eyes

I can't help you there! Take another look at the article I guess.

He wanted to show Peter Parker being changed but instead of him being more serious and aggressive the symbeote amplified Saturday Night Boogie Woogy Fever.

Yes, he subverted audience expectations. Instead of Peter becoming even broodier and angstier (lol), as we would expect, he becomes a strutting, cocksure buffoon.

lol. Are you serious? Nah, you're not serious.

As opposed to classic gems like "Someone's been a baaaad lizard".

Exactly Emo Peter Parker was pathetic, cringy and the very definition of raping a character

:whatever:

Right. It "raped" you childhood, etc...blah blah blah

I am, not the first to compare the two, even Empire readers put it as the 50th worst film ever.

Oh my, EMPIRE? omg omg. That's like, the word of god!

I'd sat that line was not different from his other quips in comics or film they have always been kinda cringy. Though bringing up that line is just you trying to mask an actual piece of bad dialogue.

Masking what? How is Brock making a sardonic quip (which he did in the comics btw) bad, but Spider-Man making a cheesy quip is okay...?

I love Raimi's Spider-Man
LOOOOOOVE IIIIIITTTTT

Spider-Man 1 is a genre classic, and will remain my favorite Spidey film for that reason

Because the Symbiote amplifies characteristics of its host. Peter Parker is not the Prince of Darkness, if anything he's the squire of dimness. He's a dork, who's good at heart. I understand many wanted "evil spider-man", but evil he is not. Not to mention two dancing scenes negates starting a bar fight, hitting MJ, throwing a bomb in Harry's face, and humiliating Brock in front of everyone.:huh::huh:

Yes! Especially the street-strut. I could watch that on repeat a hundred times.

It really was, and to this day is hilarious lol. I know Raimi didn't like being pressured to put in Venom, (good riddance, Venom is dreadful.) but you could tell he still had fun making the movie.

Also we can add trying to break Marko's face off against a moving train.

Yeah,that Evil Spidey was a cream-puff,alright.:whatever:

Besides me, who thinks the unused Goblin face looks more like a Power Ranger mask than the costume they used?
I don't see the one we had PR releated

I did not find the scenes when Peter was "evil" intimidating at all. He looked rediculous with the emo look and I could not get the werid dancing scenes out of my head.

Spider-Man 3 was a massive letdown

I find Spider-Man 1 to be more enjoyable than any other Rami Spidey.

I liked it, but I have no idea how it could have been implemented. Would have been cool to use that in the scene where Norman is talking to the mask at least.

I have more problems with the suit than the mask in the film tbh. That's what really makes it look like a power ranger suit. Might have been more acceptable if it was like a dark purple tactical suit that Norman attacks with green spray paint or something.

Probably go like the face of the Mask

If Batman 89, Batman Returns and BM Forever have their own threads so should Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 should have theirs.
That way the SM3 bashing/love can happen while the other films are discussed.

Ghost Rider, Green Lantern, The Lizard, Whiplash, Parallax, Cyclops, Deadpool, Gambit, Wraith, Jean Grey.

The only ones on that list who are even close are Parallax and Deadpool, but even they weren't gutted to the level that Venom was.
