"He likes Raimi Venom I'm going to put him on my ignore list!" are you serious

No, that's not the reason why you are on my ignore list. But I guess you are unable to see the larger picture.

lol pulling an Avi Arad I see

"yeah you're the ones defending this monstrosity."

"actually it's okay, I guess."

In all seriousness, I'm sorry you have issues where people challenge your opinion, whereas you have no problem doing that to others. :csad:

Discussing an opinion and challenging one is quite different.

Because he challenged your opinion and you're upset? Also, he must not be on your ignore list if you're replying to him lol

I can still view comments of those who are on my ignore list.

Then what's the point of being on the list

Ok, so by that logic:

I'm not sure if you're trying to convince anyone that Venom wasn't a waste. You're not doing a good job.

Bane had no SA accent & Venom

Bane sucked in TDKR. Well, the movie sucked as a whole, but Bane still sucked. Plus his accent was only an aesthetic change while Venom's pronouns is part of his identity.

Tony Stark wasn't anywhere near as funny/cool in the comics, he was a massive bore

Venom using us/we makes him more interesting, just like how they made Iron Man more interesting in the film.

Rhino never looked like a transformer
Lizard never looked like a Mario character

Rhino and Lizard's character designs in Spider-Webb are horrible, and the people who designed them should feel ashamed. And yeah, Lizard was wasted, although it was due to other reasons besides aesthetics..

Wow, what a waste of characters. :yay:

I agree, with the exception of Iron Man. So SM3 Venom wasn't a waste?

lol referring to yourself in 3rd person doesn't make you more interesting. It'd be like if Joker called himself The Joker. Also, u broke my heart saying Bane sucked :csad: but then you won it again by admitting Lizard sucked as a whole & Rhino's design sucks. :yay:

Everyone...please

...

chill out.

Venom became more interesting as a character over time. Even the best villains (Green Goblin, Doc Ock) were pretty darn generic upon their first appearances.

I'm not just talking about his first appearance, his first appearance just established his motivation for hating Spider-Man, and that never changed.

What became more interesting about him over time? Don't tell me that anti hero rubbish.

Venom's motivation was there in SM3, but he never referred to himself as "we" or "us" when talking

Venom didn't always refer to himself as we. It wasn't a necessity for the character to work.

It was unnecessary in SM3, but it would've been a nice touch.
The symbiote was a pretty strong entity with its hatred towards Peter, when it tried lunging for him.
And Eddie was at his loneliest towards the end.
The two of them forming a mind set of "we" and "us", would've worked.

Okay, its not "necessary" for him to say "we" or "us," but as Rodrigo said, it would have been a nice touch. Regardless, Venom was poorly handled in SM3 and that movie as a whole was a huge disappointment.

I mean valid in that Peter actually did something intentionally that screwed Eddie over. Peter exposed his fraud, cost him his job, and went on a date with the girl Eddie was infatuated with.

In the comic book Eddie Brock and Spidey never even met. All that happened was Eddie wrote some BS story about the Sin Eater's identity, then Spidey catches the real Sin Eater. Brock gets fired for writing a BS story. He blames Spidey for it. Even though all Spidey did was catch a serial killer. He didn't know Brock from Adam.

So Raimi very definitely made a big improvement on Brock in the movie.

He was also diagnosed with Cancer and his wife had left him...

Venom often gets dismissed as a boring villain with no character development or weak motives, but once again, isn't that how Doc Ock and Green Goblin started out? They were both pretty generic until much later on when they were given more depth. Venom had the same thing, and over time grew to be one of the most popular Spider-Man villains of all time. And don't just say, "its because he looks cool," because that sounds like such a cop-out argument.

Na, he was cool even if he was friendzoned lol

Look's pretty similar to how he looked originally... :o

 My favorite Spider-Man villains,

1. Green Goblin
2. Doc Ock
3. Mysterio
4. Lizard
5. Venom (Eddie Brock)
6. Vulture/ Kraven

The Goblin especially became more three-dimensional when they revealed his identity as Norman Osborn, the father of Harry, and gave more of a background story with the Osborns. What started as a crazy person on a flying stick turned out to be one of the most dangerous men in comic book history, a person who made it clear that you want to back away from.

Then give us answers of when Venom has gotten more depth as a character. I've asked multiple times, Joker asked, and all you do is beat around the bush.

And do you know why they haven't used the original design for Lizard for nearly every adaption of Spider-man? Because it sucks.

Also, I don't see Spiderwebb Lizard wearing a labcoat. We only see him in it for one scene to homage the comics, but why couldn't they just have his goomba face be a cameo to be a homage? Like when he transforms he goes all goomba face before getting a snout. I hope if Connors transforms back in the sequels, he gets a snout.

Jesus Christ, who the hell do you think you are? No one is "beating around the bush." I don't remember exactly when he was given more depth as a character, but eventually they added more to his backstory as others have mentioned. For example, Eddie having cancer, his wife leaving him, showing what he was like as a young manipulative kid, adding to his feelings of betrayal, and so on.

If they gave him a long snout, you'd hear online fanboys talking about how Sony was copying Jurassic Park. You can't win either way. :o

Ah, a fellow Mysterio fan! He's my 3rd favourite after GG and Doc Ock!

I would have liked to have scene him in SM4 too! If Gwen dies in TASM3 then Mysterio could pose an excellent psychological threat in TASM4!

Here's hoping...

Theres hardly a post on these forums from day one that I don't mention Mysterio. :woot:

Funny I always had Green Goblin as No 1. Still have him high on list but I think it must be the green purple colours I like. Thats why I now have fishbowl head as fav the bowl is really a like or dislike prop but works well for me.

I think it was the 90s animated series that I began the odd craze for his costume design.

:woot:

Just crapping on a character's life doesn't make them have more depth lol. Also, I'd like to think I'm Batman, but i've been wrong before.
