Unless they're planning on giving us one huge azz surprise, i'm thinking Lex isn't in it...at least not an actor actually playing him anyway. I expect to get a mention of Lex in name only, and maybe something about Lex-corp, ie, the logo, or maybe a headline in a newspaper, etc etc.
I really hope i'm wrong.

Yeah, I at least expect LexCorp to be a major presence in the media and Metropolis. Maybe at the end, after he's defeated Zod & Co, Clark will learn that LexCorp was up to something sinister the whole time (as part of some minor subplot or something), bringing Lex onto his radar for the first time without actually showing him. If Clark had one last, lingering suspicious glance in the direction of LexCorp's tower near the end of the movie, that would be enough for me.

I'd rather Lex emerge in the sequel as a reactionary force against the destruction Supes and the other Kryptonians cause. I expect an ego like his to appoint himself as the leader of the human race.

Maybe all we'll see of him, if they show Lex at all, is a shot of him from the back.
Perhaps he'll be staring out of his tower window, looking out at the huge fight going on below.

If something like that were done, you could get just about anyone for the sequel since no face was shown.

i'm surprised wentworth miller hasn't been rumored yet btw, he was seen with snyder a few weeks ago.

There is just no logical sense in why it's needed and how it would work. It's silly to imagine a general coming out of the army, changing his name, and miraculously gaining enough money to start up a huge powerful company. I know stranger things have happened, but that would take the crown.

There is just no logical sense in why it's needed and how it would work. It's silly to imagine a general coming out of the army, changing his name, and miraculously gaining enough money to start up a huge powerful company. I know stranger things have happened, but that would take the crown.

Maybe it's different, with Lex being undercover in the military to gain government access? Guess the only way that will work is if he isn't that big a name yet and his corporation/company isn't built up yet.

Whatever the case, I guess I could go with it if it fits in with the story and also fits enough with the comics version of Lex.

Pragmatically speaking, Lex can be a lot of those. Many businessmen started out as inventors / scientists.

I have mixed feeling on tying their origin stories (like Smallville). But it could be done in a few ways. Like having Lex make his fortune from reverse engineering Kryptonian technology (assuming it's not all crystals again).

Well, passing on photoshopped photos of Meloni and claiming them to be from the MOS set isn't helping your cause. You know that photo he posted and then some sites as well and was revealed by others to be a clever manip from another Meloni photo?

Well, we're only trying to find out the truth here. I haven't been up to date with this Meloni as Lex rumour and people having been speculating it for a while now.

I was on board the idea of Lex having a cameo at the end or not at all.

Recently I saw a Young Justice episode and a truck with "LexCorp" painted on the side of it crashed on a bridge. This to me would be a sufficient Lex cameo for MOS!

That would be good. I think something like that will (should) happen. Im also hopping for a cameo of Braniac. Lex+Braniac would make for an awesome sequel (if one gets made) or at least it opens up the options to include either or both. But im sure they will avoid having Lex part of the main plot as a ´´shadow`` character or in the background. Just won't happen.

What I would REALLY like, is not a cameo of Lex. But a hint to him.

Say you see a gigantic building in Metropolis, and has something-CORP. Everybody would go ape and start saying

"That's gonna be Lexcorp!!! But it's not Lex's yet!!! But will it be his, wont't it?"

Then by the end, you hear that somebody else has taking over the business, and somebody asks the name and you just hear
"Lex Luthor"

It's different, and it would get a lot of people speculating on the future

I personally don't care if Meloni is Lex or not......but since you are 100% sure of what you keep saying, I'll make you a deal......if he is announced as Lex you get to stay here, if someone else is announced I ban you.
