Daniel Craig played a villain in Road To Perdition and he was a good one in my opinion.

Here is a clip

I don't know if that was a good clip to show for your team Daniel Craig petition... He kinda got punked and looked more like a little B***H LOL! :woot:

"Try again!" lol jk

His the unstable, violent mob boss son who jealous of the surrogate relationship between his father and Tom Hanks character. He kills Tom Hanks wife and son.

I think he did a good job as a ruthless killer as well as just a guy who wants his fathers approval

Does lex really have to be an A lister actor? I mean if lex isn't going to be in MOS, and it ends up being a success.....why would we need to have lex be a well known? We don't need it to have a box office draw for the sequel if the GA already has plans on seeing it cause of MOS success. Is there any other reason besides the fact that we feel it's guaranteed that lex will be portrayed well or is it just to get more people in seats? Cause I feel like you can cast an unknown and still get the same if not more fire then all the popular names being thrown around here. It's risky I know...but it's still the same risk either or IMO.

It's not about seats for the casting of Lex. Although the fans of that actor will bring butts that might otherwise not squat. When I comes to Guy Pearce, I wouldn't say he's well known but he's proven. It's about bringing a awesome Lex Luthor to the big screen... As long as he's written right that is. However, if this man gets his hands on that role... you beat he will be the best Lex ever. And a house hold name there after. You should jump on board the Pearce train. He sounds like someone you're looking for. ;)

Guy Pearce has always struck me as relatively obvious whenever he plays a villain. He tends to do this thing where he's about a step away from mustache twirling. Luthor needs to be someone with very real charisma, who can seem like a decent human being from time to time. I don't know that I've ever seen that from Pearce. He's very talented, but I just don't know.

Trust me I already am...:)...was just trying to keep my options open. But would you be against a complete unknown?

Decent human being, check... watch Time Machine. :yay:

Actually no I wouldn't be against it if they have the "it". I think an unknown could even be more menacing if I really think about it bc I can only associate him with this one roll. If it's done right of course.

anybody have any dream lex's that were aged out years ago?

die hard with a vengeance was on last night and man jeremy irons in the 90's would of been a phenomenal lex just for his voice alone

After watching a couple episodes of Elementary, Jonny Lee Miller would make an excellent Lex Luthor.

He's even done the bald thing before.

good actor, cant say I can picture him as Lex though, but I'm sure if given the chance he'd be able to pull it off :)

If we cant have Hardy, then Marshall-Green.

my top 5 for Lex

Damien Lewis
Jason Isaacs
Daniel Craig
Guy Pearce
Joaquin Phoenix

Guy Pearce
Kyle Chandler
Tom Hardy
Billy Zane
Edward Norton
Ralph Fiennes
Eric Bana
Daniel Day Lewis
Clive Owen

Lex Luthor is in there somewhere

Wish the poll could be changed, obviously everyone wants Lex to be a corrupt businessman

**** Billy Zane, Reel, he is a trash actor. Youve got him right behind Tom Hardy and above Edward Norton? Those two should never have their names anywhere near Billy Zane

What I think would be intriguing is a Moriarty-like charachter, similar to the version in BBC's Sherlock. He doesn't have to be a billionaire. He doesn't have to be charming (in a traditional sense). But he could use his mind and offscreen henchmen to screw with Superman the way Moriarty does Sherlock.

You probably have to have seen the show to realize what I'm getting at. But that sort of character would be a true match for Superman. He doesnt need an army or a suit of armor or kyptonite. This type of charachter would think those types if things are beneath him. He would believe his mind is an equal to Superman's strength.

It would require some very creative, thoughtful writers.

Going off of this, Andrew Scott could make a good Luthor:

THIS.

The only movies I've ever seen Zane in where I didn't think he was a turd were Titanic and Zoolander (the latter being a 2 minute cameo in which he played himself). Yeah, he's bald and looks a lot like the TAS Lex, but so the hell what? His acting ability is a joke.

Thank you  Now can we move on from Zane, please?

We try, but every two or three pages, someone else brings him up.

Anyway... Guy Pearce is still my top choice, but I've been watching Homeland recently and I really like the idea of Damian Lewis too. Either could really make an epic Lex.
