I'm naming my son or daughter after Michael Jackson one day :D

Michael Jackson was named in August of '58. Most people are named after Michael Jackson. :o

Also... I think you guys are really downplaying renowned extra Matthew Fassbinder, he really brought out that FBI walkby in X:FC. DC should've had someone like that in their background scenes. Might have saved GL. Remember: there are no small parts.

I think that Craig is hopelessly overrated. I like him as Bond but I haven't really cared for his performances outside of that film.

Eh I kind of like him in Layer Cake.

No denying that but what about his work in Defiance? Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? Munich? Road to Perdition?

After seeing what Matthew Fox brought to the table in Alex Cross... it'd be foolish not to consider him.

As uninspiring a choice he is, I'm still gonna root for Mark Strong. If you really want a cool looking, imposing, badass mutha with presence and stamina, he really fits the bill.

He would absolutely win over Supes in a stare-down.

^i really like that choice more and more

i love his very tough and weathered look he has while still looking handsome and would bring a hint of class to lex as seen as james bond

and for his age he is in great shape

he is a perfect big name actor but also not an obvious villainy choice like a mark strong

and he would easily play that good guy role to the public eye while beign evil deep inside

I don't know why, but I just keep thinking Craig would look really weird with a bald head.

He did good work in Defiance and in Road to Perdition. He did a solid job in Munich also. Nothing special in DT.

Matthew Fox is an unbelievably awesome choice. I can just picture him perfectly.

Lex should be an evil genius. Having a large corporation works too.

Not really feeling Mathew Fox...

Guy Pearce could have worked but IM3 has him.

Daniel Craig I think would be avoided by Snyder and co. just cause he's so ubiquitous as Bond.

Brad Pitt is probably too high profile but I think he could make the role very 'cool' similar to Heath Ledgers Joker, if he played it similar to the Tyler Durden towards the end of Fight Club. I'm not saying Luthor should be 'cool', I just can picture Pitt portraying Luthor at the end of All-Star Superman where he's high on Supes' powers and has his view-changing epiphany.

Overall I'm undecided and based on what we know Luthor casting is what they will tackle should we get a sequel. We'll have to have our eagle eyes on during the Metropolis scenes for any 'Lexcorp' insignia to give us an idea of what Luthor they'll go for.

I think the sequel could have a TDK vibe with his Kryptonian roots covered in the first film it can focus on his worst enemy as a sort of master manipulator like Joker was in TDK. Have bombs rigged all around the city, give Supes moral dilemma in trying to reach them all with Lex setting them off with different impossible choices (similar to saving Rachael or Dent). Obviously there's more than bombs and explosions that could be used. If Kryptonite is not introduced in MOS I'm sure Luthor will have it in the sequel. Have Supes shaken too his core and questioning his mission. We don't need a villain as powerful as Darkseid to up the stakes.

what about nikolaj coster-waldau for lex he plays a great villain on game of thrones
