Would anyone else be cool if the giant Mo-Cap guy turns out to be Doomsday or something? I think that'd be awesome. I mean, I don't really want to see the "Death of Superman" on screen, and they could never adapt that anyway. Death of Superman (terrible comic that it was, the only positive about it being that it introduced Doomsday and the art) was something Cavill did say he read in prep for the role so wouldn't it be cool if that were true and Superman and Doomsday go at it in this movie? Would also be in line with Nolan's "put everything you have in this movie, then worry about the sequel later".

Well, there's a terrible idea.

Zod bringing a kryptonian monster? Just saying it would be entertaining. I wouldn't complain. I doubt it happens, but if it did, hey, cool.

I would. It would be all kinds of wrong. That would be like having Joel Schumacher's Bane next to Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins just for the sake of casually throwing a fight against Batman in the very first movie. I would hate to see Doomsday wasted like this. To be honest, I'm not even sure I want to see him in this franchise in general.

Eh, you know what, yeah...when you put it that way, I have to agree with you. Bad idea.

I don't know if this has been posted but..Actor Mackenzie Gray (rumored to play Lex Luthor) just started out his twitter account with this picture profile..

His own "description" says: I am an actor. See me soon in #ManofSteel. I am also a director in @Crazy8sFilm 2013.
Let the speculation continues..

Hope it's not Lex. He doesnt have that Lex-look imo. He looks too much like a beatnik or something.

I'd be down for that

He probably just has a small part. However, if he is Lex, then he must have REALLY had a strong audition.

It's definitely weird all this talk of Mackenzie Gray as Luthor all of a sudden. I just don't see it. I mean Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey, and then they just go with a no-name...

I mean Heath Ledger was far more established before he played Joker I'm sure.

He played an accelerated clone of Lex Luthor in "Smallville" season 10 and was rumoured to continue the role if Michael Rosenbaum hadn't returned for the series finale wrap-up.

He played a great psycho version which suited him cause he's very creepy looking but I don't think he's right for Lex. I wouldn't mind at all of he was Lex's associate.

Pone if the sites that cannot be named has stated that MacKenzie Gray has stated he is playing a what not a who. So could it be the mysterious mo-cap dude? Kelex? Brainiac? Someone else.

Why are we even remotely entertaining the idea that he is Lex? :funny:

He could be any number of minor roles. Some unknown kryptonian on Krypton, a fisherman working with Clark, one of the guys on the oil rig, some dude in a bar, the bartender, daily planet staff, a train driver, a train passenger, a parent of one of the kids on the bus, a soldier... need I go on?

The only remote chance I can see of him playing Lex in this film, is if all he plays is the back of his head. We get that one glimpse of him, and it paves the way for Lex in the next film - who will be played by a well known actor.

If I had to put money on it, i'd say he will be playing a kryptonian, in a similar role to whatever this guy is also playing:

I forgot Death was playing a Kryptonian, awesome!

And yea absolutely agree with hopeful, MacKenzie Gray is either another Kryptonian (what better way to convey these are aliens by picking some slightly odd looking actors, see above) or he's a silhouette portraying Lex like Osborn in ASM.

Same for me. It's not the type of Lex I want in this film. Save creepy for another villian or henchmen.

I would not. Thankfully, I don't believe for a second that he will actually turn out to be Luthor, unless we're talking about just a back-of-the-head shot or silhouette ala Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes.

I don't even think he is Lex's silhouette or whatever. Why would he be touting that he is in the movie so much if all we see is the back of his head or something?

Hell, if I were a silhouette of an iconic character in a major blockbuster, I'd be uber-psyched and have a hard time keeping it to myself, lol.

Yeah, I guess. I mean I'm sure I'd be stoked but if people won't even be able to tell it's me isn't it kind of a cop out on my part?

Is he the one hyping the fans up on his appearance, though? I got the impression he was just sharing his excitement about being in it at all, and it was other sources suggesting his role was anything significant. Is that not the case?
