^And I disagree with you yet again. At this point I'm waiting to agree with something you say.

Zane couldn't handle it. And casting a young Lex ala Smallville would be a DISASTER...you hear me?!

Well, if they use Birthright as a model, Lex and Superman would be about the same age.

LOL, if you guys have never see The Nostalgia Critic's review of The Phantom, I highly recommend it. That movie is even worse that I remember (and when I saw it, way back when, I thought it was a pile of crap, so there you go), especially the horrible acting by Zane, Treat Williams and Kristi Swanson.

I'm actually surprised that Zane got work AT ALL after that film.

"It's The Purple Hamburgler"

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers. Not gonna happen but it'd be ****in' awesome.

yeah someone manip this picture

What a revelation, you're right! Novel suggestion considering the universal (and quite lazy) suggestions of Dennis Haysbert and Michael Clarke Duncan.

When I said Jon Hamm for Lex, I was just thinking along the lines of someone hardly suggested while still being "consistently awesome". Now, I know I'm reading far too much into this, but in an interview a few days before Cavill was announced as Superman, Hamm was asked again about the movie, and suddenly got tightlipped when asked if he'd ever play Superman. "I don't think that's going to happen." He wasn't asked if he'd never be in the movie itself. Hamm only had a few scenes in Sucker Punch, and who knows, maybe the two of them want to work together again? Hamm's name would definitely attract attention as a villain, everyone likes him from Mad Men... I think it would work out.

Although now that he's suggested, it won't happen. :hehe:

It either needs to be Daniel-Day, Hamm, or Olyphant.:woot:

After watching some of boardwalk empire...

I think I could probably warm up to shannon as luthor.

He's not like the luthor I've always had in my head, but he is a talented actor, and it would be a casting decision that fits comfortably in with the people we have already.

I'd like to see Lex somewhat resemble the Lex in "Lex for President" poster above. I'd like to see him thick boned...not fat, but husky

I'm not impressed with the casting for Lois or Superman, so hopefully whoever they get for Lex is a real home run.

If you are not impressed by a 3 time Oscar nominee who embodies all of Lois Lane's characteristics and an actor who looks exactly like superman and has the acting chops to back it up then i dont think any lex actor will impress you.

I would agree.

It was only a question of who'd make that predictable remark :D

Dennis Haysbert is still undercover as the All-State guy since his assassination attempt by a faux Jack Bauer in 2005...

Dennis as Darkseid was not predictable when first brought up. It was so liked that is caught on

I really hope it is Shannon. The guy is versatile.and he's one of those actors who you would never imagine playing Lex.

I mean even now,I cant see any thing in Amy Adams that reminds me of Lois, but I know she will do a good job, because shes a good actress, who can act with great versatility.

On the fence for Shannon. He would be a more sinister look which could be interesting. I thought they might go with a more charismatic easy to charm public look. That's why I thought Brad Pitt would be interesting (though who knows if he'd agree to do it)

Anyone suggest Matt Dillon. I think he can pull of the look.
