You're brave enough to want to see what Jag's been looking at?Ok. 25 bucks. But all data on the Mac must remain intact.
Yeah, if you have a warranty for your laptop, it covers the charger. Mine died as well shortly after I got my laptop. I'm pretty sure they'll have them in stock if you take it in, but you might have to wait (mine took 3 weeks to arrive, but it was around the time when they realized there was an issue with the ones that came with the single core macbook pros).

I need Time Machine.![]()

They might not care but why take the chance? You could back it up and delete it from the computer.Umm...Will the single torrent file on my desktop damn me?
*really hopes they won't notice it amongst her school files that are cluttering up her desktop*
On the other topic...Do I need to take my Laptop in with me to the store and......

As long as the credit card and social security numbers are valid, I'll take my chances.
I don't even keep that stuff on my system and anything personal is fully encrypted. Me FTW!
jag
...Ok. Ten bucks.
Do you get to switch arms? Might take a while for both arms to tire.Ten bucks and I get to stab you in the face and upper torso with a large kitchen knife until my arm gets tired.
jag
Jag, 50 bucks with all of the memory kept intact, provided you don't create a virus timed to take out your computer the first time I start it up.

Jag....some MAC addict you are....wont even try to convert a Windows guy ...

No, I don't get to switch arms. Keep in mind that I'm a weight lifter, though, so I'll just consider this a VERY high rep workout.
You already want to convert and you know it.
jag
All honesty aside...
I wouldnt convert....I want to use both
I'd take it with you, just in case they want to verify that it's the power adapter and not the internal power supply.![]()
I wouldn't worry too much about the torrent file, but move it someplace out of sight for the time being while you have it at the Apple Store with you, just in case. Most tech guys aren't going to care, but you never know.
Got a friend with a power supply so you can move the file real quick? Plus, that would determine whether it was the power supply and not your MacBook.Yeah, that'll be an issue since my Laptop is -dead- >.<;
*rubs fingers from the long GW post she wrote in reply to Malice*

Ah, I see. In all honesty any tech geek working at an Apple store probably has a few torrents on his computer too. You'll probably be fine. That's like the single best commercial concept ever. Props to the marketing department.
I had thought of that. Except....
Rural America = Hicks or Cowboys = PC users = I am alone with my MacBook in shark infested waters where people are always picking a fight with me when they see my shiny MacBook Pro = no one to ask.
Why do you think I'm always running to ya'll when I have issues?
How much is the latest OS for the MAC?
