There's some controversy around the Nintendo Switch's third-party lineup. Lots of the games announced are ports of last-gen games with a few somewhat big games like Lego Undercover making their way onto the platform. Some have made the assumption that the system is simply too weak to handle some of the major titles like Resident Evil 7 or Mass Effect: Andromeda. Well, that may or may not be true.
Mass Effect: Andromeda producer Michael Gamble alluded to the fact that the highly anticipated entry in the sci-fi franchise may eventually make its way to the portable/console handheld. When asked about why the game didn't launch alongside (or shortly after) the new console's release, Gamble stated that it was because they were already so deep into development to add a new console into the plans.
First, we were too deep in development to focus on a new console. Secondly, the door is open, we have nothing against the Switch even if we have nothing for the Switch. If the Switch is a significant success we will revisit that. So the door is certainly not closed, it just wasnt the right timing for us.Would you play Mass Effect: Andromeda on the Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments below!
Mass Effect: Andromeda went gold earlier today meaning the game is officially done and will hit its March 21st release date! Mass Effect: Andromeda will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Nintendo Switch console will release Friday, March 3rd.

Insert sex in space joke here
We know that Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to be a huge game, bigger than any Bioware game by a large margin. But what can you do in that large, open blackness of space? Bang.
That's right, one night stands are totally an option in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Whether you chose the male or female Ryder twin, both characters have the option to bang and boot. The Mass Effect series has always been good about being inclusive. Gay characters, lesbian characters, everyone was able to find love in space. But Mass Effect: Andromeda lets players explore their sexual adventures without needing to be tied down (well... being tied down hasn't been written off either, bu that's a different subject entirely)
This isn't to say that every supporting character flies around crotch-first, but there are some characters with their priorities arranged in such a way that this is possible. In an interview with Finder, producer Fabrice Condominas plainly states,"You can have sex with a lot of people. I wont tell if it is everyone or not, but its a whole lot of people. Plus you can even have one night stands."
![]()
He also details the new trust system, which is a more than just "talk to this character til they like you." He stated that it doesn't affect the gameplay directly, but it definitely changes interactions and narratives with characters. When asked how it works, he says:"So weve gone away from the binary system to this more nuanced system around tone choice, and this also allows us to bring more nuance to the trust system. So even that isnt binary. But for each character there is a threshold and when you reach that ceiling, you will unlock loyalty missions. There are two main parameters to that; there are the dialogue choices, which breaks down to the reaction you take, the tone you choose and what choice you make. Then there is your behaviour. So were you aggressive the first time you started the conversation? Did you shoot first? Or were you more peaceful? So the threshold for each character is different, because it becomes based on their personality."So not every character has the same checklist as previous games like "You talked to me 27 times. Now do my loyalty mission, then we can bone." It seems instead to have a much more subtle approach with different interactions and possibilities with different characters. Some of whom would like to get it on.

That sword though.

Earlier this week, BioWare gave us a look at the various profiles and skills that we will be able to choose from in Mass Effect: Andromeda as part of their gameplay series. Today, a new Andromeda Initiative video has further detailed the weapons in the games.
The video goes over the four main gun types, briefly touches on melee weapons and goes over the different skills that you can go over. Check out the details in the video below:

Four main types of guns to work with:
Each of the guns can be augmented or feature new components, like laser shells and grenades.
- Pistols
- Shotgun
- Assault Rifles
- Sniper Rifles

Some worlds are bigger than others, but this statement is mind blowing.
We've heard that Mass Effect: Andromeda was going to be big. In fact, we kind of expected it to be. Bioware makes big games that get bigger as the titles progress. But Andromeda is much bigger than previous Bioware games; Most notably Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Fabrice Condomina, Mass Effect: Andromeda's producer tells Gamereactor about a number of features regarding the game, including the game's size:
"Oh, it's bigger than any of the three [games in the original trilogy]. In terms of the footprint, for example, it's gigantic," he says. "One planet can be the size of Dragon Age: Inquisition as a whole. Not all of them, but some of them. But it gives you an idea of scale.
"But also in terms of, for example, the progression system, it's probably the deepest we ever made. So even in terms of mechanically, the crafting system is probably the one we pushed further than any in the three. So it's definitely bigger."
It sounds like Andromeda has a lot more to it than previous games, and maybe even more explorable than any Bioware game to date.

I too played the trilogy on the 360. Will be getting the new one on the PS4 as well. Right now I am playing the first game on the Playstation for the first time. It feels... weird.I still want my spacehamster...
also i played the trilogy on X360... ill hae ME:A on PS4

I had it ordered for Xbox One but all my friends are getting it for PS4 so I switched my order over. It'll be weird.
Does doing that help?As a rule of thumb I buy Japanese titles for PS and North American titles for XB. Rarely do I get technical issues.
Does doing that help?
xbox is the original home for mass effect. if i were you i would get it on the platform that I want
I want to play multiplayer with my friends, so I'm going PS4. I don't care what the original home is, so long as the game plays well on PS4 I'm going with that.
Oh right, interesting.A lot. I have a hard time remembering the last time I've had well documented game breaking bugs at launch.
Maybe I've been lucky, but even Assassin's Creed Unity back in the day was a relatively smooth launch for me.
Most of it has to do with coding. Asian software developers have an easier time making stuff for the PS and viceversa. Same with Americans, Canadians, and Europeans on the XB.

Why the salt?
A BioWare developer recently detailed Mass Effect: Andromeda to feature "full nudity" and said, "it's totally softcore space porn." After feeling the retaliation of some fans, the developer has clarified their statement, saying it was sarcasm and that it will be more than just a space porn.
Check out his clarification below:
![]()
Now, with Andromeda featuring "full nudity," it is likely that both statements are true. The game will feature sex and nudity - like a softcore porn, as well as "strong characters, great gameplay, romances, and more." It appears as though Flynn doesn't want people walking around thinking that BioWare only cared about making the sex scenes look good (or deal with the people complaining about his statement).
Mass Effect: Andromeda has gone gold and will be releasing on March 21st, for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

people still have to be care ful with words. there alot that set's people off . especially if there'a a generation gap or if certain thing's that are in words in one area aren't know in a region where some ones from. So it's fine that he explains it other wise some people will blow it out of proportion.Talk about an overreaction. I was able to tell it was sarcasm and not something totally serious.
