Hmmm... really starting to dig the idea of Fassbender as Superman. I know he's playing Magneto, but I think he's one of those actors that can play both a hero and a villain effectively without making them feel even remotely similar. He can play stout and heroic, or evil and maniacal.

I meant Bale was perfect in the sense that he physically matched the part and had a resume that suggested he could play the role well, so that fanboys could collectively get behind his casting. I don't think anyone could've predicted the batvoice.

The manips are never going to truly capture how he might look with professional make-up, hair done by a stylist and pukka costume. He might look terrible, but he could just as easily end up looking perfect for the part.
