Yeah Hammer is alright, he still hasnt won me over, i think its a mixture of his face and the fact i think he might be a little overrated but we'll see. I still think TSN is gonna end up putting Hammer on that shortlist though. I would mind if they dont go with Cavill or Hammer anymore although Cavill is still my top choice. Hopefully they've found a couple of solid unknowns by know. Do you guys think we'll be seeing a shortlist soon? Or instead of a shortlist we'd have to wait longer for just a official casting decision.
The wheel keeps on turning…David Boreanaz’s name is again being whisked around in relation to playing Superman on the big screen. Third hand news today suggesting the “Bones” star, who had auditioned for the role of Superman in 2005 (for Bryan Singer’s “Superman Returns”, may have requested a look-in for the new one (Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”
. Needless to say, there’ll be hundreds upon hundreds of blokes testing for the role of the Man of Steel so it’s just as likely whoever is ultimately cast in the role is yet to have even been the subject of a news item.
yeah, I remember some of the others that were mentioned alot as well..caviezel, law, webster, hartnett..He was one of my faves 6 years ago, and wouldn't mind him at all. Unfortunately Boreanaz time for the role has passed.
Hmmm... just stumbled onto this dude...

Josh Pence. Apparently he was the "other" Winklevoss twin in The Social Network. I thought that they had just used camera tricks and had Hammer playing dual roles but apparently this guy was actually in the movie, from the neck down, at least. Now granted, that's no measure of acting ability, but that doesn't necessarily mean he can't act either. I honestly have no idea but I thought I'd throw his name out since he certainly has the height and build (he's about the same size as Hammer; hence the reason he was used in TSN) and I think he has the look, even more so than Armie.
Of course, it boils down to acting and I have no idea how his acting is. But he is an unknown, so that is a plus. His IMDB bio is really strange... not sure what the deal with that is; looks like a troll wrote it.
Yeah. Apparently he's in this movie coming out called "The Algerian" which looks interesting although there doesn't seem to be much information on it.
Anyway, he's probably not even on anyone's radar (and like I said, I don't even know if he should be) but if Hammer is truly in consideration, then I suppose it isn't too far of a stretch to think that Pence could be as well.
A few months ago I read for the role of "Thor" in "Thor." I went in to the casting office on a Tuesday evening, spent an hour making a tape with Randi Hiller (one of the best Casting Director's in LA, hands down). An hour later I got a call from my manager. Kenneth Branagh had seen my tape and wanted to meet me at Marvel in Manhattan Beach the next afternoon. I couldn't believe it. Still can't believe it. He's one of the most respected names in this business, as an actor and a director, a paragon of talent and work ethic... not to mention incredibly humble. Going into the studio I kept thinking "who am I to read for Kenneth Branagh? Is punked back on the air?" And he met me on a level playing field, one human being to another, one artist to another, simple as that. He gave me the utmost respect and a few compliments (re: my tape and my acting) that will always be with me. And he inspired me. We spent an hour making a tape which he then took in to Marvel execs. In the end my resume was just too short to justify me at the helm of a $150 million studio picture. And frankly I don't blame them. But everything comes in due time. Just to meet and work with Mr. Branagh for that hour... it was a pivotal moment in my career and my life. In the end it went to a talented young Aussie actor named Chris Hemsworth. The cast looks phenomenal and I know they'll do a fantastic job with the project. I'm still stoked to see it!
Routh is still the best by far. Liked hammer in sn, he has the presence and charisma needed for the role.been watchin madmen lately, Hamm could work but the proble is his age.
He's actually a pretty successful male model, has been for awhile...anyway heres a bit from him about Thor.
