Whoa looks like that guy needs a batarang to his face to wake him up a bit, teach him not to steal peoples work to make money, that's bad karma man just plain bad.

What's with people these days.

I actually think this is a great concept. And I think the background and foreground play very well off each other lighting-wise, it really caught my attention. Really well done

Catwoman teaser, made from the template I created for my last poster, but with the "blurple" color scheme. Click for full-size (it's almost twice this size, you should check it out.)

Loving this.

That is incredible :hrt:

I'm not sure how I feel about the tagline (as well as the placing of the words) but everything else is absolutely spectacular. And I Love the blurple :)

Love the cat poster. Just change or eliminate the tagline. I think this is a good line (from the DC universe online series catwoman):

"I don't play nice with you hero types"

agreed. lose the tagline, move the director below the title and you're golden.

Thanks for all of the feedback guys! I won't be making any changes to this poster but I'll keep your comments in mind for the next one (if I do another one). I think Inside23 demonstrated yesterday exactly why it's a bad idea to make gaining the approval of others the final goal in creating artwork. I find I get much better results when I simply create artwork for my own enjoyment. If I decide to share it here it's solely for the purpose of getting feedback to help me improve in the future. If I get negative feedback, it usually comes with lots of suggestions for improvement, and if I get no feedback, well... that's actually a sort of feedback in itself isn't it? And I find positive feedback, while encouraging, is actually the least helpful in terms of learning how to improve.

My two cents.

Thanks for a link to the actual artist. I seriously doubt that it was him at the con though. There were a lot of other manips from other people here on the hype as well, just not from batman. And even if it was the real artist it'd be kind of a d*ck move because they were trying to pass it off as a real poster (it was in a giant stack of prints of real movie posters)

if anyone has some ideas, ill be willing to give them a go. i may not be as incredible as most people have shown, but im trying to get better lol

I messaged the guy on deviant. His reply was

"*sigh* Wouldn't be the first time."

Jeez, I guess that's when you know your fan art is really good - when people print and try to sell it. :woot:

I wonder if the person googled "batman TDKR poster" and that popped up, and he just printed it right off the site, not doing any research or anything and just assumed it's real.

I always wonder what goes in the head of criminals..

^He was selling a lot of well done but still obviously fake Avengers stuff as well. I'm fairly sure the knew what they were selling.

Well if you're gonna be a *****e about it.

Putting a bat signal and some text on a photo doesn't really count as a manip or art. Try something better and see what happens.

No one comes on here to hear anything bad about their precious artwork...

People need to learn how to take criticism, especially with simple ideas like adding the Bat Symbol to a picture of a hallway.

There's not much creative about it, "Welcome to the House of Bane"; pretty straightforward and nothing gripping about it.

It looks well put together but, as a concept itself it isn't very interesting.

Not being a *****e. As has been discussed on this board multiple times, people do these for fun and to share with others. It is not a contest.

This took me 10 minutes. I am a freelance Graphic Designer with multiple clients and I do little things like these for fun and relaxation. I really enjoy seeing what other people come up with and how they go about executing certain design elements.

In the case of my most recent manip, it was an idea for a teaser poster I had while working on a different project. Just wanted to see it conceptualized. Constructive criticism is great and in my line of work I have gotten used to it after many years. But to say it doesn't count as a Manip or Art is not constructive criticism.

And yes, that photo has been manipulated...therefore it is a manip. Which is why I posted it into the "Fanart and Manips" Thread.
