I think most of us talking about little negative things actually loved the movie. I gave it a 9.5 but it wasnt perfect. The good far outweighed the bad imo, but it doesnt mean i cant talk about the things i didnt like.

I know but it just seems that everybody has to look for flaws these days. Everything and every movie has them. I just tend to ignore them unless they are so ridiculous that they detract from the movie.

I recommend you avoid it like the plague :csad:
Lol, it's not that bad. It just didn't have anywhere near as much action as it should have, Superman having a son, etc. It definitely could have been MUCH better. I wouldn't consider it a great superhero film, personally.

I agree with this 100%.

I honestly find Thor to be one of the harder films to nitpick because it does a lot of the little things right.

It's quite simple and believable. Those two awful things for Thor, his being utterly humiliated with the hammer and the tragedy of knowing he's trapped, killed his Dad and his Mum doesn't want him, combined with the fact that this pretty woman is being so kind and genuine whilst he is so emotionally vulnerable, make perfect sense as to his change in character.

Also,it's not like his WHOLE personality needed to change, it was merely his attitude and self importance. That's the sort of thing that CAN change in a relatively short time. The cockiness etc is still there, that's PART of him, he's a prince and a warrior, but it's his attitude as to what is important that has changed.

Yeah, it's not like Thor wasn't deserving of Mjolnir or anything like that; his father Odin was ready to announce him as his heir to the throne until the incident happened. Odin wanted to punish Thor and he did it by stripping him of his powers and made him a mortal, so he can learned about humanity. After failing to lift Mjolnir and finding about about the death of his father (which he was responsible for) I think can and will change just about anyone. But these alone didn't make him deserving of Mjolnir; it was his selfless sacrifice to save others that finally did it. I think the progression of his character flowed rather naturally for a two-hour summer blockbuster movie. In Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne changed his personality by being slapped by Katie Holmes' Rachel, and no one said anything bad about it. Thor is far better by comparison.

Thats sad and true. So, on a positive note, what was your favorite part of the film?

It is funny to nitpick Thor when he does so many incredible things with Mjolnir, and all Superman did in SR was lifting heavy stuff.

Even in lesser movies, I find alot to enjoy. I even liked many parts of X-Men Orgins, X-Men 3, Fantastic Four, Superman Returns, and yes---even Batman & Robin.

Thor was a million times better! SR was one of the most disappointing experiences ever.

Hard to say, but at the moment my favorite thing about the movie is the music. I downloaded the soundtrack and it's absolutely brilliant. Probally the best I have heard since Hans Zimmer's Inception. The Thor soundtrack will most likely go down as one of the most underrated.

Really they needed a villain who could survive a puch from supes. Lex wouldve just died from one hit. And you cant really have superman murdering henchmen. I seriously hope they have a powerful villain, besides zod, in the next superman movie that can actually be punched

This is random, but one of my favorite parts in the movie are when Thor and Co. are warping thru the worm hole. Just something about it .... especially the way Thor's arm is outstretched with the hammer leading the way.

I really liked the score. My favorite score ever is the pirates films' score. lol. Say what ya want about the movies but the music was great. Too bad thor didnt have a real theme that you can whistle though

I was really into the score as well .... especially the beginning ... they hit on all the emotional scenes with it as well.

Heck yes. That was sweet. It really looked like he was flying even though i guess he wasnt. And he really looked like a leader in that pose. If i had to choose between iron man leading the avengers or thor leading, id choose thor. lol

That comparison to BB is Spot On

I think a lot of people, because they're on the internet and read a LOT, get a negative mindset; as soon as there is criticism, they view it as an instant negative which is wrong - ESPECIALLY if they don't agree with it. And it's a train lots of people like to ride :oldrazz:.
So anyone who thinks an element of the film could have been reasonably improved on, then go for it!

If I had to type everything I liked, I'd end up writing 90% of the bloody script we got!

But the nolan bat films are worshipped by comic book movie fans, so of course no one will mention that. :/

No, people have said the Bat-Nolan films could stand to be improved in a few areas, only to get verbally gang raped from other fans by doing so. You may as well say the Wizard of Oz didn't really do it for you the way the reactions are.

BTW, I was so relieved to see that the rock music from the original trailer we got was never heard from .... I was really worried about that.

If people didnt put the dark knight on such a pedestal, id probably like it much more. But it really didnt deserve many of the 10/10 reviews it got. It wasnt perfect at all. and it was hardly a batman film.

Oh yes, this sort of movie calls for a great score

Man that is one thing I will be buying with my next pay check, is the Score!
