Well if you want another incarnation of Superman u always have the animated series and the comics

Cause I am against another actor playing the role of Superman, Its one 2 many if u ask me.
Of course I want another incarnation of Superman that's why I'm going to watch the sequel to Superman Returns in 2010. That's why I have the comics. That's why I have the DCAU Superman. I have multiple Supermen to entertain me. I don't watch Smallville anymore, I'm not going to start again. I keep away from it because I don't enjoy it and I want it to keep going because there are people who do enjoy it.
Keep the people who want Welling content by letting them have Smallville. Have people like me content by having another actor like Routh or someone else in a future reboot/separate continuity as Superman in the movies. Win-Win situation if you ask me and everyone's happy.
Also for a person that hates Smallville so much u sure spend a lot of time in a thread involving a Smallville related actor
I spend time in other parts of the Hype way more than this thread. I keep going in here because I willingly decided to take part in this debate which is actually very civil a rarity if you ask me in debates such as this.
If you hated so much then just dont bother to watch it or even enter a forum involving it cause it would only make you more mad. I know you find Welling and Kristen as really bad actors but the same thing can be said about Routh and Bosworth in that horrid Superman Movie. You say that your sister is not a Superman Fan and dose not even care but she would just go see the movie because Welling is hot and thats good

more money for WB.
Routh is by far a better actor than Welling. Routh is something that got praised in Superman Returns. And Bosworth was simply horribly miscast and is by far a better actor than Kruek, even Welling's a better actor than her.
About the plots of Smallville, well have u picked up a comic book of Superman lately, there are always stupid plots in the comics like a City made of Insects etc etc
Busiek's run on Superman was rather disappointing IMO. It's why I can't wait for Robinson to arrive on the book and I'm heavily enjoying Johns' run.
I cant believe that u hate how Kryptonite is used cause I belive that the have delivered the best use of Kryptonite ever and they have also brought back the different color Krytonite back to continuity.
1. Kryptonite is used horribly in Smallville. Green K turning people into freaks constantly. Red K is completely different in the comics than how it's used stupidly in Smallville.
2. Smallville did not bring the different Kryptonites back into continuity, Johns' and DC's hard on for the Silver Age of comics did.
So Hipe Hunter u hate the soap opera feel of it ? The you must hate Superman Returns cause that was the plot of the whole movie.
By soap opera I mean Lana marrying Lex and pregancy bulls**t. The romance going on in Superman Returns is rather believable because Superman up and left and came back 5 years later. That's going to create a lot of emotional conflict.
Why was that dumn? and If you want to blame some one u can blame DC and WB for that cause they wanted to use the real thing. You know that in Superman Returns he was the only hero cause with the catastrophic even of New Krypton no other heroes appeared and since this is a continuity of Superman I and II you also know that there where no other heroes at that time also.
I find Clark Kent teaming up with heroes that haven't even been born yet to be stupid. If he teams up with someone it should be someone like Bruce Wayne or Barry Allen. Not Teen Titans.
Also with your logic then why didn't other heroes help when Darkseid invaded Earth in STAS? In the comics superheroes have often singlehandedly the world without assistance, even Superman.
And I also account no other heroes because they haven't gotten movies yet.
What I meant was the feel of the City. But in Smallville there is also a Gotham City and the City looks more futuristic and it also fits with the comics.
Your argument was that the Metropolis from Smallville fits with JLA better and perfectly with the Gotham City from Batman Begins.
You do have a point with JLA, it depends on the direction. If they go with a separate continuity, the look, feel, and tone of Metropolis would fit better.
However, fitting in with the Gotham City of Batman Begins is dead wrong. The Metropolis in Smallville is not at all compatable with the Gotham City of Batman Begins. The Metropolis of Smallville has a more futuristic feel that fits in more with the comic book tone which does not at all go with the realistic and gritty tone of Gotham City of Batman Begins, the Metropolis of Superman Returns which is designed more on a realistic city fits better. The Metropolis of Smallville does not make any cultural or geographic sense since it is a Vancouverish futuristic like city in Kansas. It does not fit in with the cultural and geographic sense of Gotham City which is rather Chicagoan and fits within the Chicago metropolitan area, just like Metropolis is more like New York and fits within the New York metropolitian area.
Not only that but there is also a Gotham City in Superman Returns.
U can actually see LuthorCorp next to the Daily Planet like in the comics
There's a Daily Planet like in the comics in Superman Returns
