Well despite being a good film and I'll never stop saying this no matter how old it gets but it wasn't a good Xmen move. Those folks in charge just refuse to get it. More then any of the comic films that have made it to the big screen no other on more then Xmen is where I heard people from the creative team saying w
How they wanted to make it this way or that way. A James Bond with powers and that's just the most recent. These aren't characters any of them had a hand in creating, so for then love of god stick to the darn source material and not make it how u feel it should be done.
The box office suffered I think do mostly to fans and the general movie going audience that is familiar with Xmen. I think a lot of people just stayed home and spread the word of their displeasure to family and friends. No Storm, no Cyke, No Jean Grey. The real first class. Time Displaced mutants, crappy Hellfire club with missing members but mutants like Riptide and Azazel filling in where Mastermind, Lelund, Selene, and Pierce are supposed to be. The sad thing is that Fox will misread this as Wolverine not being in the film for the less then stellar box office. It's not the case Fox. Stick to the source material.
