Anyone else notice this is two remakes in a row for Shrieber?

For the director, John Moore, too. Flight of the Phoenix -> The Omen.

I didn't have no expectations for this 'cause the original is so great. I only went to see it 'cause of 06.06.06. It was a pleasent surprise. A good remake, but still pointless. Why make a good remake from a good film? If it were bad you could ***** about it, but now you can't. I think the same way that they should'v just re-release the original. It would'v been much cheaper. And yes, the kid was miscast.

EDIT: BTW, the original Damien had a cameo as a reporter.

I was watching a documentary on the original yesterday...holy ****, there was WAY too much going down to be all coincidence.

One guy from the crew was in a bad car crash shortly after filming finished...his passenger was sliced in two. when he woke up, he saw a sign with the numbers 666. The place he was traveling to? Omen.

I went to see it on the sixth.. It was ok, a lot of gratuitous violence, but it was also funny.. You know that part where the kid is having his birthday party in that big mansion and during the party in front of tons of kids and reporters, Damien makes the nanny go up on the roof and jump down with a noose around her neck? She jumped, you could hear the crack of her neck, her lifeless body hanging 30feet in the air, bumping against the white wall, I almost pissed myself laughing. It was absolutely hilarious, I was howling with laughter. And when the guests went crazy and started running around, it was even more funnier.. I couldn't stop laughing. I got a lot of weird looks..

he didn't really creep me out as much. sure he's creepy. but when he was having that little

Dude thats mean to the kid. He's gonna get made fun of so much... that is until he releases his eternal wrath of blood and gore on the kids, then he'll live like a normal kid, with just a touch of satanic darkness.

not as bad as I thought, the investigation part was my favorite. Kinda strange Damien only had around 15 minutes on screen or so. Julia Stiles was very wooden. 6/10
