I'm not unhappy with Ledger i just don't know what to make of him as The Joker,i didn't really have a pick when Depp was ruled out

For Dent i had hoped for Jackman,Phoenix,Damon,Shrieber or Wahlberg.

That's what I love - I don't know what to make of him either! I don't know how he's gonna portray Mister J, which is exciting!

Eckhart is a solid actor and i'd say as good as those except Phoenix who i think is a rangier more gifted actor and Jackman who i think has more Harvey qualities and more screen presence.

I think appearance wise Ledger and Nolan going to just nail it. But the performance is what I am still on the fence about.

As far as the general public goes, I don't think replacing Holmes will make an impact at all - Now if it was Bale, Caine, or Oldman, then we'd have an issue.

I also think the majority of people outside this board will see this as a positive, I really don't see how it can be a negative......

To make myself clear

Ledger-Is wait and see,i never really had a choice but he doesn't particuarly excite me in the role.

Eckhart-Will probably do a good job and is a solid actor but is far from the set of actors i had in mind and least favourable to me out of the ones that were rumoured.

Maggie-She is by all reports a better actresses than Katie but so are many others who i like a lot more such as McAdams and Blunt so it's once again a case of an underwhelming choice from a set of choices for me personally plus i HATE recasts.

Recasts are not my favorite way to go, I usually cringe when I hear that word, but in this case anybody is better than Holmes.

I disagree but i never figured you on the Cruise/Holmes hate wagon Showy....and i was referring to Emily Blunt who was rumoured a few weeks ago

He was also reported as being on set all the time on her new movie and not wanting her to have a love scene,both were proven to be pure lies

I don't hate Cruise or Holmes, I just don't think recasting her in Batman Begins is going to hurt the franchise even for a second, despite my dislike for recasting in general. Especially since they are replacing her with a reputable actress. I loved Katie on Dawson's Creek but since then, she hasn't blown me away.

Tom on the other hand, big fan of him as an actor and his movies. All the personal garbage I don't care for. Again, I don't think Nolan and company is upset not to have Katie around or Tom possibly hovering around the set.

You can't really hate an actor or actress, because you never really know them, same with all celebrities. All I care about is their acting abilities, sure Katie was fine in Begins. I was even defending her performance when people were nitpicking and her calling for her head. I just don't think replacing her with Maggie is necessarily a bad thing.

This is a fine, fine choice in my opinion. Let's face it--Katie's name is crap as far as the media is concerned. The public can't stand her, and her being attached to this project would make the whole thing laughable and hurt its credibility. Right now, her celebrity is bigger than her "acting chops"--and I do not mean that in a good way.

Maggie, on the other hand, is a real actress--and she'll bring real solidarity and flavor to the role. Plus she looks similar to Katie--but in my opinion, more attractive. Usually, I'm not a fan of recasts, but honestly? For me, this is a win-win situation.

I try not to dip to much into gossip, but there is no doubt they have created a media circus, mostly through no fault of their own. This isn't Britney Spears we are talking about. If I was WB I wouldn't want that circus tent on my shooting lot. It is what it is now and Katie is out and Maggie is in, I believe officially today. I think the transition will be seamless.

There may have been some debates but not ones that cause this kind of problem on a $150M movie,you don't write a major part and then not have the actress locked,that is sloppy.

Now i am not gonna harp on this,it's just another disappointing choice on this movie for me,Only the fact Bale and Nolan are returning and that Jonathon is writing makes me feel hyped on this movie at the moment

Sloppy is one thing, an internal conflict inside the studio is another, it´s people with different ideas and opinions sticking for them, it´s a problem, but it´s not sloppy.

Personal taste matter, I don´t find your choice much more attractive than Maggie.

We are on the same page Showy on both these things,i just feel to avoid the cicus you write a new character or for me personally cast someone i like in the recasting of Rachel
