Maggie is so average with her acting. She is nothing without her nudity and pornesque works. Actually those lingerie ads were mocked upon all over and she was quickly replaced by Lilly Allen. The lingerie sales only soared on Maggie's time and had many complaints.

I literally dropped the magazine when I saw Katie on the cover. Instyle did a Katie Holmes then and now comparing her Batman Begins 2005 photoshoot to now. She is beyond stunning. So classy compared to Maggie's cheap gothic lingerie ads. Batman should have a classy lady.
Katie made a good Rachel Dawes and to add her more mature and sexy look now she would have been so hawwwwwt opposite Bale and Eckhart.

Always poised and friendly to guests that approach her nodding to her bodyguards that she is ok. This is her life now and seems utterly comfortable with it.

If I were Horn I would have convince Katie to finish TDK. Sadly its too late.

yea sorry guys she has some serious siders, I'm no fan of Katie holmes either but in comparison there is no comparison. Maggie looks terrible in the trailer and she looks like a sasquatch here. If you throw enough makeup up on and a couple thousand dollars in clothin everyone looks okay. But ouch on this casting.

Maggie's talent far exceeds her looks. She may not strike anyone as beautiful but she's the kind of actress that lights up on-screen vs. in pictures. If you haven't seen her in her recent movies (like Stranger than Fiction), then you're really missing the point.

And BTW, in terms of playing Dawes, Maggie fits SO much better. She comes across as a scarred person, and that is what makes a DA in Gotham. That is far more believable than Katie Holmes. Katie playing the DA is about as believable as when MGM cast Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist.

Very well stated and I agree 100%. On a side note, I think Maggie is quite attractive and exudes charm and personality. Katie is also cute (not a stunning beauty mind you), but lacks charisma and strong acting chops coming off like a Stepford wife at times. Maggie=upgrade as far as I'm concerned.
