Oh god, I just read a tweet with the news.

I'm dying here

Its certainly possible that the talks were leaked to test how the market would react.

This is true. Word is that shares have gone up for Fox almost as much as they had dropped when 4stic first flopped!

Tell me that isn't fascinating!

This is like when the Germans were buying the nuclear plant from Mr. Burns

Huh? Is he seriouslly asking or just sarcastically asking regarding it being some kind of a fake news?

I'm not sure his intent, but the future of Fox X-Characters would be in serious question if this goes through. Would Marvel keep any of them or scrap them all and start over? Deadpool might have a chance, but I can't imagine Disney allowing Kinberg to continue to screw around with X-Men, for example.

Please YHWH (God) allow Disney to buy Fox and especially the Fantastic Four, X-Men and all related Marvel properties back. In the name of Yehoshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus). Amen

Gawd the marvel U versus doctor doom would be a beautiful thing. I just hope they don't forget their new franchises like guardians of the galaxy if or when they get the old ones back

Bring him home.

Amen!

Can't wait to see
Marvel Studios version of
DOCTOR DOOM

Ruler of Latveria
Smarter than Stark
Sorcerer that rivals Strange
The Ultimate villain of the MCU

I think they would scrap it all, because while Deadpool was great it is still connected to their X-Men movies. I think Marvel would want to start with a clean slate. I just hope a deal can be made before the Dark Phoenix story gets done again by Fox. That is one the few X-Men stories that gets to go a little more cosmic and could tie into some of the other current MCU films.

I've got some bad news for ya, buddy.

Well by the time a Fantastic Four Film or X-Men film would be developed for the MCU we would have already most likely have gotten a trilogy of the Guardian's of the Galaxy. I am not saying they can't do more for them, but at this point no hero has had more then 3 individual movies made about a specific character. So, I don't think it will be a problem.

Surfer

Yeah, but it's not in theaters yet, so if things took place soon I could still see Disney squashing it. I know many would think they would let it ride since it is made already, but if they let the Dark Phoenix movie go through it is really destroying any chance of that story coming to the MCU. This is because people are less likely to want to see a third reboot of the same sort of story and I think it is one of their best stories to tie in with the MCU. So, in the end squashing it might gain them more then letting it proceed.

At least that is how I see it.

Surfer

If at the end of this we just get FF where they belong I'll be content, I can live with the x-men staying put, I don't get why Fox is shopping around though? Are they hurting?

Oooooorrrrr.... do some reshoots to fit it in the MCU? And treat it like a first X-Men film? Then they can cast the grown up versions

Uhh...yeah...that won't happen.

Oh My Cthulhu! Just read the news, I'm so happy if this is true

Not a bad idea, but I think they would want to re-launch with new actor's like they did with Tom Holland as Spider-man. Otherwise, it would feel less like a re-launch of the X-Men for the MCU but instead just a connecting of the two existing universes.

Surfer

I know the likely hood is probably similar to a snowball's chance in hell, but still a man can dream.

Surfer

It's great news if it happens. I hope it does. It would be a dream come true. We didn't think we'd see Spider-Man in the MCU, and the deal with Sony almost seemed off the table at one point. But then it all fell into place.

But how will they explain where the mutants have been all this time and why they would be treated differently from the Avengers and other superheroes? Are they going to be viewed in the same light as the Inhumans, who may or may not exist in the movies?

Or will we have some Secret Wars type of event where the Beyonder brings people from different universes together on Battleworld, and then some of them end up going back to earth (like the X-Men and Fantastic Four, along with their villains)?

Do the X-Men and the FF have to come from the same universe as the Avengers and Spider-Man? If they were from alternate earths, that would explain why no-one has heard of them so far. The X-Men and FF don't even have to be from the same earth but two separate ones.
