No. I don't want Reed coming across as an oddball and still such a nerd. That's what the Story films got wrong. I'd want him like the strong leader type of the Jack Kirby era who is nevertheless very intelligent.

If they were younger, I'd want someone like Tim Daly or Bruce Greenwood.
Someone like Greenwood would be perfect

I’d have loved Greenwood. Not sure how old he is now?

Greenwood is 61 now. Tim Daly is the same age but looks younger and fitter. I doubt he's even playing that age in Madam Secretary. He's still playing an action hero professor.

Guys, I'm sure Matt can play the confident, leader Reed. His character in Terminator was completely different from his Doctor Who. He has range.

Also if Sue is in her twenties then Reed shouldn't be 20 years older than her. That's just.. A bit weird imo. I'm not sure that would go over well with people. Especially if she's young enough to be his student, ehhh...

and his Prince Phillip is very... Prince Phillipy, he still doesn't really scream Reed to me.

I'd say Reed Richards should be late 30's. Sue Storm and Ben Grimm 30-ish and Johnny Storm early-mid 20's.

And as terrible as they were, the one thing the Tim Story FF films had going for them was the cast. It was pretty on point (even Alba wasn't too bad).

Ryan Gosling? (37) Charismatic, he can play cold while sentimental, and might put some asses on the seats :)

I'd like Torch to be Spider-Man age. He should screen test with Holland for chemistry. Torch & Spider-Man will replace Cap & Bucky on Tumblr

There's only one choice for MCU Reed

He was considered for Star Lord and Ant-Man as well

I'd be fine with this casting. I think he'd be able to bring something new and unique to the role. He may look slightly younger than when you think of Reed, that could be a positive as I want this FF to last at least 10 years. I also think he's got the acting chops to make a great Reed.

Might be too old for the role at this point but Mikael Persbrandt as Doctor Doom would make my life. Hugely talented actor that deserves as much exposure as Mads Mikkelsen. He's crazy good.

That isn't weird. It's not like there aren't couples with that age gap between them.

Men in their 40s can still look relatively young while women in 20s won't look so much younger than them that it looks like it's an old man with a little girl.

And there are students who are all ages. They don't have to be high school students. What about post-graduate students? You think they aren't already in their 20s? Sometimes they're even older.

You can't choose whom you'll click with or be attracted to. If that is what has happened with Reed and Sue, then why would it matter?

It's not like anyone is suggesting Reed be some old professor who looks like Mr Burns in the Simpsons and Sue looks like someone playing in Spider-Man Homecoming.

I agree on the ages, but i think marvel may go more 30 for Reed and Ben, 20’s for Sue and “teenager” for Johnny so they can play into the friendship with spidey more.

And I have to disagree on Alba, Evans Chiklis and Gruffold were all good to great, but she seemed in over her head... and Julian McMahon wasnt terrible, but the writing sure was

It's a thin line. Sue being in her early 30s and Reed in his mid 40s I can live with. But any age gap bigger than that and it looks like Reed is running for Senate in Alabama

Chiklis was really good as Thing, there's not much denying that

I think Gosling can pull it off, and I’d nominate David Tennant too if he weren’t already Kilgrave.

Agree with regard to the casting. It wasn't the actors that were the problem.

Levitt is a terrific actor and I think he'd make a fine Reed. He's got tremendous range.

Dude, you are killin' me.

OK. I can stop laughing now...I think.

Ha, wonder what the odds of him taking a role like that would be? :woot:

I think credits scenes after A4 with Doom 1st and Richards/FF 2nd would be cool. Maybe it's a shot looking out of a ship in outer space and you hear Doom's voice. At the end, he reaches out to navigate and all you see is his hand and arm. In the next scene maybe you hear Richards voice "Ben...We've found him".

What if Alice Eve IS playing Sue Storm in Iron Fist? :wow:
Far fetched, I know.

I forgot that Disney will have Kingsman now too :funny:

Not that I think a third one should be made though
