This appears to be a mistaken interpretation of what he was saying:

I grow tired of Loeb's random optimistic or leading quotes. It's not enough he's the only one spouting the 'It's all connected' stuff, trying to make SHIELD seem grander than it is in the MCU, and then saying 'Wait and see' when people ask about Punisher appearing on Agents of SHIELD. That or people shouldn't misquote him.

Not his fault. He wasn't saying MCU and X-Men. Some dumbass journalist mixed it up.

There are a lot of questions regarding where Fox is going.

What are their upcoming films? What reality do those films exist in? What reality do the TV shows exist in? We've already seen Deadpool, but we don't even know where that fits in.

Does Fox even know the answers to these questions or are they still working it out?

At some point, Fox is going to have to let us know where they're going and why and how. They're going to have trouble getting fans interested in upcoming projects if they don't start giving fans some information.

Yeah I am sure people stayed away from Deadpool and will also avoid the sequel and X force because FOX has not explained where it fits in.

Who said they were making X-Force? When is it coming out? When is the Deadpool sequel coming out? Who is X-Force and why should anybody care or be interested in seeing them?

You may already be planning on going, but 95% of people who go to see films want to know something about them before they go, and in the comic-book film world, the process of building anticipation begins long before release.

People already know something about and are looking forward to films like Thor Ragnarok, Wonder Woman, Black Panther, Avengers Infinity Wars, Justice League, Ant-Man and Wasp, Flash, Aquaman and others.

They know something about the characters in those films and how they fit into worlds they have already seen and they have release dates. The simple fact that Deadpool 2 doesn't have a release date is hurting it right now. People are looking at lists of upcoming films and thinking about what they want to see over the coming years and Deadpool 2 isn't on any of those lists.

People don't look forward to movies they know nothing about, and the fewer people there are looking forward to a film and building anticipation, the fewer people will pay money when it's in theaters.

Batman VS. Superman got lousy reviews, but it still made big box-office money because people had been looking forward to it for so long that they were planning to go no matter what the reviews were like.

Deadpool didn't just come out of nowhere. There was a long lead-up to it starting with 'leaked' test footage and a constant flow of information from that point until release.

Do your really think Fox can make successful films without providing any information or building any anticipation? Do you think they'll just release them and people will go because they've got all the time and money in the world and will just go to anything?

I think the first villain for the F4 should be Namor, because I do think it's about time that he be introduced into the MCU, especially seeing as we're getting Aquaman in the next couple years. Moleman too I wouldn't mind. Wonder if both Moleman and Namor could end up in the same movie perhaps. There could be a story to write about it I reckon.

Oh no X force film in development. An X -force film is about as likely as a Black Widow film. Its inevitable.

I am pretty sure the films they have in development will be given the dates they have set on the calendar. Deadpool 2 won't be released as Untitled FOX-Marvel Film lol. People know its coming. They just have to confirm the date.

I just realized that Gambit was to open this weekend lol. Deadpool will probably get a trilogy before Gambit gets his film. They should just do a Gambit- Deadpool team up film.

More likely the same season. :whatever:

They'll probably wait to see how Netflix's Lost In Space reboot does then just copy and paste it on FF.

Yeah, I'm back!!!(Runs away)

I think that Fox and Marvel are doing SOMETHING but not for a while. It certainly won't be until 2020. I feel like Phase 4 is going to be about rebooting the Fantastic Four (preferably with Annihilus to set up Guardians 3), and then using other films to build up Doom and have Kang be the big bad of Avengers 5. Close Phase 4 with an event film to merge the MCU and X-Men universes and build a new universe for Phase 5.

It's likely since Kevin Feige actually gets along with Lauren Schuler Donner and Perlmutter couldn't stand her. Jeph Loeb is already working with Fox and with Perlmutter out of the way, I feel like there's going to be some big announcement in coming years. Marvel and Fox will presumably be negotiating for the next two since a recast Iron Man and Wolverine are a gamble.

I suspect the lack of real information regarding upcoming films from indicates something is going on behind the scenes.

It could be people at Fox simply unsure of what the long-term plan should be and arguing about what their foundation for the next 10 years should be or it could be Fox trying to decide if they should get together with Marvel and to what extent, or it could be a combination.

I tend to think it's a combination and they're still unsure of where they're going with this and considering all options.

And if Marvel is willing to work with them in any form, they'd be fools not to do it.

Well, I finally saw FFINO last night. I was able to watch it for free this week and I was completely out of excuses to avoid it. I hate to say it, but I thought the introductory section with Lil' Ben and Reed wasn't half bad. I would be totally down for a "Reed Richards - Young Scientist Film".

The film after the first seven year time jump was not as bad as I was expecting. A bad FF film, sure, but totally watchable if you were stuck at home with a head cold and nothing else was on the tube. Miles Teller is actually pretty good and at times Jordan's charisma shines through in "Science Guys: Mission to Planet Zero".

But boy, (as others have said over and over again) does this film go off the tracks after the third one year jump. It goes from being a poor FF film to a terrible film in general.
I'm glad I finally saw it and now I will never ever have to see it again.

Facts.

I'm not even interested in that upcoming Logan movie. But GOTG Vol2, WW, Homecoming, Ragnarok and Justice League are all Day one tickets. (maybe even see them twice)

The only thing that makes Fox-Marvel films the subject of any topic is when there's rumors or speculation about Marvel helping them out. Beyond that nobody really cares.

Wishful thinking, just like the countdown to the reveal at Comic-Con that didn't happen.

It's not just wishful thinking with me though. I would've probably bought Deadpool's Blu-ray along with watching it in the theater if it wasn't for Simon Kinberg running his mouth about 4stic sequels. I didn't bother with X-men:Apocalypse at all because of this and apparently didn't miss out on much anyway.

Marvel Studios is moving along regardless and as time goes by Fox is being exposed even more for the mediocre lames they are while handling Marvel films. Die hard X-men fans are even finding it harder to defend Fox's moves. Hell, Singer was God to them at one point... that's not the case so much this past Summer. So I wouldn't be to quick to suggested that there isn't progress still being made.

Lets say 4stic's results were on Jim Gianopulos watch. This new Chick "Stacey Snider" that's taking over as chief of films at Fox has her work cut out for her. And I don't plan on making things all peachie for her if her goal is similar to Kinberg's.

Just finished watching Doomed: http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!conten...old-Story-of-Roger-Cormans-The-Fantastic-Four

From the interviews of the people who made it, it's clear that nearly everyone involved respected the FF and knew the FF FAR more than Josh Trank and Simon Kinberg ever did.

It's a damn shame they didn't give those people a $100 million budget.

Still the best version of Dr. Doom, and elements of the Thing costume were also better than what we've seen in other films.

They seemed to conclude Avi Arad was the bad guy.

Those involved seem to be hoping it will be released one day. If that happens, I hope it makes more on video than Fant4stic.

With respect, I don't think Stacey Snider has your not making things easier for her on her agenda.

We're going to get speculation that the rights may revert at every Comic-Con and D23 forward until the inevitable happens and the rights revert. So we can look forward to your insufferable gloating for a little while longer.
