The screentime of venom

And that's what Nolan understood about Bane, and is using that to his advantage. It's very unknown of what use Venom, the drug, will be in TDKR, but he understands that Bane can very well be the exact opposite of Batman with immense training and peak physical conditions as with Bruce Wayne.

Venom could've very well been the most intimidating foe for Spidey, but just turned out to be a B-rated villain at best who had to ask for help when Doc Ock and Green Goblin didn't have to.

I agree.

The symbiote has three parts:

1.Makes Spidey more powerful.
2.Makes Spidey Evil.
3.Becomes Venom.

There's no need to make one part have it's own movie.

To me, Spider-Man vs Venom is not really the conclusion of the symbiote arc, but a sequel to it. Spider-Man has already rejected the symbiote, and the appearance Venom is the symbiote's return to menace Peter once again. The symbiote is the enemy within, and Venom is the enemy without.

The symbiote has three essential parts, or really two(I'd combine powerful and evil together), but Venom deserves more than just one fight and to not go after all of Peter's loved ones is not using Venom to his fullest capacity.

THIS!!!! I completely agree 100%.

Venom, instead of being a worthwhile villain, looked like a third-string villain and in no way can be compared to Green Goblin or Doc Ock. And that is not the case.

Agreed. In the comics, Venom is one of Spider-Man's most imposing foes, a formidable threat in ways that not even Green Goblin or Doctor Octopus can be. In the movie, he's divided by Spider-Man hitting pipes against each other, and then blown up with a single Pumpkin Bomb.

And to say that Sam Raimi was honest when he said he started to love the character of Venom is laughable.

I don't know if it's true or not, and in the end, it probably doesn't matter. He may have not really known Venom that well beforehand and based his opinion on the ridiculous "We want to eat your brains" Venom with the protruding tongue from the 1990s, then warmed up to the character after seeing how Alvin Sargent used him in his script. It's not unheard of.
I mean, J.R. Fetinger of Spidey Kicks Butt! didn't like Venom, but he actually started to understand the appeal of the character when he wrote an article on him, titled Dark Side of the Spider.

At this point,I REALLY hope Venom is re-used in this new series...and is done right.

That's all nice and what not, but to not fully use Venom's limitations are only showing me that Raimi didn't really like, appreciate and fully understand who and what Venom is. What Raimi said was only because Arad made Raimi say it as he made Raimi do A LOT of things during that time, or Raimi just trying to please the fans that were excited about Venom and the symbiote being used and keep their faith in the director.

Eh...I've made my notions on why I'm not into the idea of seeing Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Venom or Sandman anytime soon.

My point is that I'm not going to judge Raimi based on whether or not he likes Venom as a character.

My question is, if Venom hasn't been done right, then why not do him right?

Oh, obviously there are many other reasons to judge Raimi as a writer and director, but to a point I just hate that comment from Raimi simply because we don't see a Venom that anyone can really appreciate, imo.

Honestly, I think it has to do with the timing...it's only been ten years; way too soon, for my tastes, to see those four villains return. I'll be taking it one movie at a time with seeing Lizard show up, and I hope Electro for the sequel, but I kinda don't want to see those four villains appear, even if the writing is better. I mean, out of those four, I believe Venom is a more likely choice to show up(I mean, without seeing Norman Osborn yet, I think Venom has become the most likely choice to appear as a villain), and I do believe Webb may go the Ultimate route for Venom.

I wouldn't mind if Webb goes the Ultimate route for Eddie Brock, but I hope he doesn't for Venom.

What's funny is that I think Webb should go ahead and mix Eddies from 616 and Ultimate as Raimi did. A more muscular-toned Eddie that's also a science geek, opposite from the lean, reporter.

And as for the Ultimate Venom...I only think that's the case because, again, that's the only way I'd think Venom would show up...having the same idea of Venom showing up in two consecutive Spider-Man series that will only be like ten years apart would be...weird as a viewer.

That'd be great.

And the Venom suit from the Ultimate universe makes no ****ing sense, so I hope they don't use it. Furthermore, Ultimate Venom lacks his Classic counterpart's interesting personality. So stick with the Classic Venom.

Honestly, that's the only way I'd think they'd bring back Venom if they do something different.

I mean, after TDKR, I doubt they'd keep in the same continuity as Nolanverse for additional Batman films, so why would they pretty much use the same, identical Venom? They wouldn't...if they plan on using the Ultimate version of Green Goblin, and they may, then there's nothing stopping them from using Ultimate Venom.

And I think that would be a mistake. Both Ultimate Green Goblin and Ultimate Venom aren't as good as their Classic counterparts.

Hey, I'm not disagreeing, but I also know that this new film series will also try to be different, thus....Ultimate. Besides, nothing, not even Ultimate's counterparts, can be any worse than Green Goblin's suit in Spider-Man nor Venom's story in Spider-Man 3.

I have to say that I like their alter-egos. Ultimate Norman Osborn is great, and Ultimate Eddie Brock is a more fully fleshed-out character than his Classic counterpart. But as Green Goblin and Venom respectively, they're not as good as those Classic counterparts.
