In a nutshell, Zuckerberg convinced his friend Eduardo (Garfield) to sign a contract which gives him a 34% share of the company. However, because of the way the contract was worded, Zuckerberg had the power (and eventually did) dilute Eduardo's share down to 3/100ths of a percent, effectively robbing him of millions of dollars once the company blew up.
