Some just want the pijama texture back?

no thanks. one thing for sure is that one of the best things about the MOS costume it was the texture.

It looks like plastic. All over. Too thickish looking. Needs to be toned down.

Like Snyder said; some can't let go of the Donner films when it comes to this one.

^^ I guess you're right. Not all thinks that way, I'm a fan of the first 2 Superman movies, but not pretending those are the source material instead of the comics. But thank godness is just a few minority.

They aren't the source material, but they are better films all around, easily, than what we got with MOS. It's quality I'm not keen on letting go of. If something is **** I say it's ****. Very much of the Donner film is superior to MOS. The costume doesn't have to be Peter Pan tights but it doesn't have to be plastic, either. I actually think that's worse, honsetly. At least tone it down a bit is all I'm saying.

How's this?

EDIT: I just realised I mistakenly edited fanboii's edited pics (S shied is bigger) since I had them on my PC. Sorry fanboii!

It doesn't look like a belt to me. It looks more like he's wearing a separate long sleeve top and low waist tights with red tights underneath.

Each suit fit the film they were designed for. The Reeve suit fit the Donner films and Cavill's suit fits the Snyder film.

...tired of seeing him with that worried look on his face! :)
changed the face, upper torso pose, hands, cape (a bit) sharpened.

Is ripping open his clothes and revealing the suit underneath supposed to be suspension of belief in regards to the cape and big --- boots? I've never been able to buy that, especially when his work clothes fit him rather well.

Yeah, I think the best explanation is for him just to fly home at light speed and get changed.

The texturing kind of reminds me of John Byrne's Kryptonian designs.

Maybe he carries his Superman suit in a small briefcase he brings to work?

That's why one scene of his nano technology suit would be a cool payoff. Imagine it forming the \S/ on his chest and even seeing a full body shot where he throws his suit on the ground and he last part of cloth to form is his cape growing to completion  I guess the necklace would be a good source to grow from.

Were I the film makers, I would simply not address it. When he's Clark, he's Clark. When he's Superman, he's Superman. I'd rather the film focus on more interesting plot points rather than how his suit fits into his clothing, nano tech, etc.

I kind of agree ..but a hint of something would be cool. Just to eliminate the question.

Yea, but if they did that, if would seem out of place to me. MOS was all about Superman. We were introduced to Krypton, it's tech (to a degree) and of course the suit. At no point was anything more said so to go in and explain it in DoJ to me would seem odd. Sort of like, "oh yea, and this is how this works since we didn't cover it last time." I dunno...

I really like that manip above where the belt actually reaches the buckle. It's an improvement over what we got in the movie. I prefer the buckle to be yellow. I think there has to be some yellow on the belt, but I like the red band.
What's important is that there is something dividing the upper and lower half of the suit. That way, we can at least get the illusion that he's able to use a toilet without getting nude.

Just for fun, I added a belt using Jor el's as a base. There really needs to be a little more of a belt than his from MOS. Mine might be a bit oversized or the wrong color, idk. It was for fun anyway...

I like that, Supergrave!

A complete belt definitely improves the suit. I'd like that one^ more if it were straighter.

The only issue I had with the suit in MOS is it seemed a little too reflective or too shiny. Other than that I liked it and I hope they don't change it too much in the next movie.

The belt is a little smaller and straighter in this one, as per requests.

Honestly I just wouldn't mind seeing the seams minimized. I did a quick alteration of the suit and your belt for the heck of it. I'd also like a deeper blue. Although in this quick manip I didn't get the yellow right oh well.

Here is a manip I color corrected for like an hour to show how the MOS suit should be colored imho. I like a deeper more vibrant blue really and it seems more hopeful :D
