I guess Im the only one who finds the idea of Superman wearing a sculpted muscle suit to be ridiculous.

Any padding should slightly compliment Cavills build... not create **** that aint there with padding. It more sculpted than the previous suit...

Snyder does seem to be veering into Schumacher territory with his muscle fetish.

I liked the MoS suit aside from the rediculously fake abs. I think it was a decent reperesentation of Cavil's real physique but he looks even bigger in the new movie when I don't think he physically changed much from the last film.

The only reason I could think of them trying to pad the suit even more now has to do with how big they've made Batman look.

It should be pointed out that Batman's neck and shoulders are very hunched in the few seconds for which he is seen in the teaser. That is, in fact, a classic Frank Miller pose, but it has the effect of making him look a lot stockier than he would otherwise.

Muscles? Look we saw what happened with returns. The material kills all muscle definition. Now in universe the idea is that they are his muscles. Just like the Spider-man suit from the Raimi movies. I take a good looking product over "reality".

I'll agree with taking a better looking product over reality in superhero films, but I have to say that the abdominals on the BvS suit annoy the hell out of me. If the in-universe explanation is supposed to be that his musculature is showing through the suit, the MoS suit did a much better job in this area than the BvS suit is. However off the abs on the MoS suit looked, they still looked less artificial than these square, almost perfectly symmetric outlines the new suit has.

Of course all of this is just nitpicking, the suit as a package deal looks fantastic, no question about it.

That is true.

And I was actually admiring how easily that suit followed Affleck's motion. It seems very flexible.

Woah woah woah how the hell do you update a Kryptonian suit?? He was given only one. Where did he get the new one?? I wonder if they'll have an answer

Amazing what a few tweaks and a little more color will do.

The shot of him holding up with missile is beautiful. Probably the best Superman design I've seen without the red trunks.

DC Comics should take note :o.

considering the changes are subtle, I doubt they will.

The complaints of the suit being too muscle-y seem to all come from the shot of him lifting that rocket when all of his muscles are going to be flexed and pronounced.

They are supposed to look that way in the scene because he's using them :funny:

Well since the new video of the suits came out I grabbed a screenshot of Superman's shield. Can any of you geniuses out there decipher what is written on his shield? I'm very curious...

Quite frankly, I believe if the fact they made these extremely minor changes hadn't been publicized, I doubt most of us would have noticed.
I really don't see what the big deal is.

Everybody on this board would have noticed. I certainly would have.

It's like how apparently the Raimi Spider-Man suits had numerous minor changes each film but in the end pretty much no one noticed them.

^ There's nothing I don't like about that shot. It's so...heroic.
