hopefully it will be the nano tech route as the cape alone is so bulky it would be impossible to hide under his street clothes. You can still have the classic shirt rip, only with the added materializing of the suit under ;)

In 'the death of superman lives' we see some concept art and they explain this idea where instead of changing in a phone booth, Clark Kent would just rocket into the air and his civilian clothes would shed and burn off of him.

Pretty sure he wasn't going to do that every time, I think that was just for that scene because of how tense Clark was.

If that was the case, we would've seen that in MOS. I think if anything, they'll try something their own way, or use the classic route (suit under clothes) so they can have a "shirt rip" moment.

Who the hell wants to see the shirt rip in this movie?

Cavill gonna look goofy doing that in this movie. No need for it

If they want a shirt rip and not go the ''nano'' route they can just use a scene where Clark is dressed more bulky, with a coat on. There were some set pics of him in what is likely Gotham with a thick coat on. He could have the suit under there and that can be the excuse for a shirt rip. As to why he'd have the suit under his clothing at that time, well, who cares, like how he shaved in MOS? No need for an explanation. To me anyway. :woot:

I don't care how the suit fits under his clothes, but i want it to, and I want that shirt rip. Not at all a fan of the nanotech idea, but I think Snyder and co. would probably visualise it better than the comics have, so I'll take it if it comes.

And the end of the day, I think they'll just address it same way they did in MoS - they won't.

I would say the "shirt rip" is about as iconic as Batman responding to the batsignal.

I really hope we get a shirt rip, would be a nice ending to the film actually.

Watching the trailer for like the 1000th time I really have to say I have swayed my opinion on the suit, I think the BvS suit is definitely an improvement on the Man of Steel one (which I also loved).

Yeah but in this universe, Batman doesn't respond to the Bat Signal, he uses it himself. So that probably means that Superman will actually put his supersuit on over his civilian clothes since everything works in reverse. :D

Also, in this version, Lex's exposure to Kryptonite has caused him to grow a full head of hair.

if I had to go classic I'd go the phone booth route over the shirt rip. People would nit pick the shirt rip scene to death.

...Im posting this again cus I think its funny...

I don't think he's going to be wearing the suit under his clothes. Not only is it incredibly unrealistic (I know, I know), but in the brief glimpse we see of Clark Kent in the trailer, the first two buttons of his shirt are undone, revealing skin underneath. That probably doesn't sound like much to go on, but to be fair, it's all we've got. :oldrazz:

He could have it under here:

Wouldn't that mean that he only wears his suit under his clothes sometimes? What would the point of that be?

...what about Batman?

He doesn't wear his suit under his cloths, and gets on the crime scene in moments...even though he would need to get to the nearest suit hiding place and take at least 45 mins. to dress and get back... but lets not think about it too hard ! :sly::cwink:

he needs a auto suit briefcase like Tony Stark !

I think it is generally accepted that Batman's response time is slower than Superman's. BvS shows Bruce saving lives in his shirt and waistcoat, after all.

He's able to do that because he's Batman.

...yeah, but he can't pummel the criminals dressed like that!

( only jesting )

Of course he can...

So, I just got done watching the Superman Lives documentary. It was pretty interesting. It was nice seeing all the concept art. Luckily they got those pics of suit before it was finalized right before production ended.

I REEEALLY wish they just hadn't raised that question. Just have him clean-shaven throughout the movie. You're gonna show him with a big shaggy beard, and then clean-shaven, and not explain that at ALL?! Stupid.

if I had to go classic I'd go the phone booth route over the shirt rip. People would nit pick the shirt rip scene to death.

And they wouldn't nitpick the phone booth route, after they made fun of that back in the original Superman movie in 1978?

I probably wouldn't have thought twice about how Superman was able to shave if it weren't for a bunch of razor commercials raising that exact question in the first place.

I feel confident that it could be done in a way that is far more believable then Clark ripping off a collared and revealing his costume.

No shirt rip please. It is so overdone and not even in just Superman-related media. Let it die alongside the trunks on the outside.
