For an oval symbol I like the one from Batman Returns, and for an oval-less logo I like the one from Batman Begins.

Here's a little compilation of the Batman film logos;

The BB and TDK logos are definitely the best, though the yellow symbols worked fine in the Burton Batman films.

That symbol on the ice suits in Batman and Robin is :barf:

Not to bring up an insanely old and beaten debate, but that pic reminds me of how insanely tired of rubber I am.

The latest Batman suit from TDK makes the most sense. How can he even maneuver in in those other suits?? If anything they slow him down.

TDK suit while faster than the past suits is still somewhat slow and bulky for Bale to move around in.

It's like someone asking if you can run. You can say yes, it doesn't mean your fast. He is still slow.

I just meant it's the best suit. I didn't mean to make it seem like I meant that he's just as fast with the suit as he is without it. I meant that it's the best out of the options he has....

Well surely it would make more sense for him to use tranquillisers and tasers instead of elbowing the crap out of people. It's a movie, who cares if it makes sense?

Then he wouldn't be batman... lol What the **** is this I just made a comment about it being the best suit we've seen so far. And that's all I meant.

But it looks like crap, what the **** is it? Then you tried to justify it with it's slightly higher practical function against a character with no practicality. Your justification is a fallacy. That's all I meant.

I try very hard to stay out of this thread for a lot of reasons, but I'm in a mood to post, so I'll throw in some comments. I never was bothered by the armored look that Burton started. I think it looked best (design wise) in Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight seemed to be Nolan's way of keeping it and moving away from the now uninspired method of implementing it on screen.

As for symbols and colors, I like both. I like the simplicity of the plain black logo, but love the splash of color in the oval. I think the oval looked the best in Batman Forever. I think the reason the plain black bat hasn't worked so well as the oval on screen is the lack of contrast. With the suit not being a different color, it can't stand out. This is especially compounded in TDK with the faceted logo blending in with the faceted suit and being the same color on top of that.

The third topic that gets discussed so much is compromise and suggestions. For me, an ideal movie suit would have been the BB suit, but broken up to allow the mobility of the TDK suit. I also would have blended leather in with the armor. Something along the lines of a blend between the TDK suit's sections and UD Replicas' BB motorcycle suit. That thing just makes the BB suit WORK.

I think the B89 suit with the TDK suit's articulation would be the best movie-suit cocktail. It probably wouldn't be too hard to achieve, since the B89 suit is partly so heavy and sculpted because it is designed to enhance Michael Keaton to heroic proportions.

I would, however, favour an entirely new approach. One devised by a designer without the customary rubber fetish.

I was NEVER talking about how it looks. I meant from the beginning that it's more practical than all the rest! Read my first post.

But it's still the fastest and offers the most mobility... I don't understand your point.

My point is now and has always been that with a change in materials we could have a much faster and even more mobile suit than TDK suit without making it look so terrible.

I dont absolutely HATE TDK suit, its just my least favorite thats ever been used in a film (other than the B&R suits). I feel that Hemming and Nolan dropped the ball on the design, which couldve been improved upon with the same mobility ideas intact.

For a modern reimagining, he should wear this with armor plates underneath.
